    • Falling Rain/ Star Gazer-
She padded out of her den and glanced around the camp. It looked like the warriors were just starting to wake up and she needed to start a patrol. I haven’t been on one in a while. Maybe I should join them? She walked over to the Warrior’s Den and poked her head inside.

    • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch sat in the middle of camp, staring blankly. He nodded to a cat as they went by,his eyes dull. His mate was dead, his children had left-what was there to fight for? The tom knew he should offer to go on a patrol, but he had no energy. He wanted to stay exactly where he was,no movement required. But he couldn’t do that all day. With much effort,Tall Birch padded over to the warriors den, seeing that was where Star Gazer was.

      Fallen Oak/Oak~

He stepped out of the warriors den, the fresh and clear morning air, hitting him. A shiver went down his spine. He didn’t smell the patrol back yet so he went to the fresh kill pile, ate it, and sat down. He started to lick his ruffled fur down. He was getting quickly bored, not being able to leave the camp, because there had to be at least 2 warriors in at all times. He got up, and went to go see if maybe Falling Rain was in her den. As he padded forward it started to rain. He shook his pelt dry, just for it to be wet again. He poked his head in the StarGazers den (Continuing it on that thread).

    • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch padded through the woods with the rest of the patrol. He scented the air for prey, but found nothing.

      • Star Gazer/ Fallen Rain:
She scanned the forest, looking for signs of life but as had become more common, no sign of it were to be found. “Maybe we should head towards the river?” She suggested. “There may be some fish.”

        • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch nodded. As he started in the direction of the rushing water,he spotted a vole chewing on a seed under a bush. How did I not notice that? He dropped into a hunting crouch and slowly made his way towards the prey. The tom killed it with a swift bite to the neck and stood back up. It was pitifully small, but at least they had found some food.

          • Star Gazer/Fallen Rain-
She grinned when she noticed Tall Birch’s catch. “Great job,” she mewed. Every little thing goes a long way. Glancing around the territory, she noticed a silver glimmer in the rapids. Fish! She quickly padded towards it, crouching by the edge of the water, careful not to let her shadow scare it. Here it goes. Her paw plunged into the cool water and scooped out the glimmering fish, sending a spray of droplets everywhere. She purred once it hit the earth and swiftly delivered the killing blow.

            • Silent Fox-
Silent Fox sat down a little ways away from the other cats, squinting at the shimmering water in front of her. The other fish seemed to have been scared away by Star Gazer’s catch, but Silent Fox knew that in no time they’d forget about the danger.
Dawn Flicker had never been good at fishing. He had been too impatient, prone to springing too early as if he thought he was above the laws of physics.
“Mousedung!” she hissed, realizing that a fish had slipped by without her moving an inch. Hastily, she sprang after it, but succeeded only in drenching herself with icy water.

              • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch stepped back as water sprayed from Silent Fox’s pelt. He never liked getting wet,yet fishing was something he was ironically good at. “Are you alright?” He asked, seeing the she-cat start to shiver.

                • Star Gazer/ Fallen Rain-
She fought the urge to let out a mrrow of laughter and instead turned away from her careful survey of the water to check on Silent Fox.

                  • Silent Fox-
Silent Fox hauled herself out of the river, scowling. Stupid Dawn Flicker, she thought, lashing her tail angrily.
“I’m fine,” she grumbled, shaking out her fur. “I just got distracted, it won’t happen again.”

                    • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch nodded sympathetically, creeping forward to look for fish. “I’m sure you’ll catch something, don’t worry.”

                    • Star Gazer/ Falling Rain-
She gave a quick nod. “We all miss catches.”

                    • Silent Fox-
Silent Fox shrugged, turning back to the river. “I’ll get the next one,” she mewed, staring at the water intently.

                    • Tall Birch-
Tall Birch wrapped his tail around his paws and started searching for food again, briefly glancing at Silent Fox. He was glad to see she had stopped shivering, but the look on her face made him feel like more was upsetting her than just missing a catch.

                    • Silent Fox-
Silent Fox lunged forward, her claws snagging into the silver side of a fish. With a satisfied smirk, she killed it, water dripping from her whiskers. “There,” she said, “Told you I’d get another one.”

    • Golden-
As he awoke, he was hit with the sharp edge of pain brought on by the absence of his sister. She had decided to leave with some of the others, to find this new land mentioned by the Fallen Stars. He felt as though he had to stay, he blamed it on needing a Healer’s Apprentice now more than ever but in truth, he was scared of the unknown.

    • Falling Rain-
As she woke, she stretched in her bed of moss. Looking out the vines that hung over the entrance to her den, it was so much quieter than she was used to. Part of their small group had left, following a prophecy that had been delivered by the Fallen Stars, journey to the land made of stardust and stories told by those of ages before. The river was rising, cats had already been lost to its fast flowing waters and she worried about what would happen to those who stayed behind.

Oak poked his head through the vines. “Falling Rain?” He called out. His nose was filled with her scent, but it wasn’t recent. He sighed and walked back, unsure of what to do.

    • Snow Flame ~

Snow Flame awoke to an eerily empty den. There were very few warriors left.

      • Silent Fox-
Silent Fox surveyed the den, noting the abundance of empty nests. Drifting Smoke was gone too now, so she was rid of both the siblings. She had to admit, she missed Dawn Flicker a little, but good riddance to his silvery sibling. If Drifting Smoke wanted to run away from the truth, they were welcome to do so.
“Plenty of space now,” Silent Fox noted, beginning to groom her pelt, “And less mouths to feed.”

        • Falling Rain/ Star Gazer-
She poked her head into the den. “Less mouths to feed doesn’t mean none. Care to join me on a hunting patrol Silent Fox?” She asked. She had been lonely since she became leader and it was nice to interact with her Groupmates.

          • Silent Fox-
“Sure, of course,” Silent Fox agreed, springing to her feet and trotting out of the den. It would be good to get her head out of the clouds and do something productive.

Oak woke up to the sun streaming through the entrance. He took in a deep breath of fresh morning air, and realized Falling Rain had been there earlier. Dawn Patrol, most likely. I should have gone.. He stretched and got up. He wondered if they were back so he left the warriors den(Continued on ‘Inside Camp’ part).
