Comparing a Song to a Warrior Cat; by Icestorm

Hey guys! Icestorm here with my second article. I’ve seen people do this kinda stuff before, and the other day I was listening to this song and I couldn’t help comparing it to my favorite warrior cat. I won’t tell you the cat until you see the lyrics, then maybe you can guess!

Spoiler alert for the first series and Bluestar’s Prophecy!

Now, the lyrics are very repeating and there is a lot of parts with no music, so bear with me as you might see repeats of the same lyrics!

Okay. So have you guessed who? Drumroll please!

Bluestar!

She is my favorite Warrior cat next to Jayie and I think this song matches her perfectly! With her relationship with Oakheart, obviously.

Now let’s analyze the song.

I think I’m finally giving in, I’ll let our love win

This line shows Bluefur beginning to give in to their love and go against the Warrior code. She’s “letting our love win”.

Cause this is never gonna change, Only foolish games, You take my breath away

This verse shows how Bluefur knows that their relationship isn’t going to change, that they’re not going to split. It doesn’t feel real, it feels like “foolish games”. She knows its going to stay like this; he takes her breath away.

For you’re the only thing, That’s real to me

This part of the song kinda goes with when she was crazy, and the only thing that seemed real, was Oakheart. Awwww! <3

Sorry, I just had to include the dubstep part. This part is similar to “you take my breath away”, or “for you’re the only thing, that’s real to me”. Whenever Bluefur looks at Oakheart, she feels like life isn’t real and time stops.

Bring me back to shore

The second I heard this line, Bluestar instantly popped into my head. Not really much explanations. If you have read the prologue of Bluestar’s Prophecy, it shows her thoughts when she was drowning. Oakheart helped her get back to the shore, which matches this line perfectly. Again, this doesn’t really need that much explaining…
