Coyote’s Song explains a theory they have on Firestar.
***POTENTIAL TAQ SPOILER WARNING***
Hi guys! Coyote’s Song here. I am now an apprentice, and I’ve changed my name from Hazelkit to Coyote’s Song!
Now anyway, I’d like to prove that Bob is secretly Firestar reincarnated! You don’t believe me? Well, I have some proof.
Everything begins in “The Apprentice’s Quest.”

“‘Hi,’ the large-eared kittypet responded, startled out of his doze. ‘How can I help you?’
‘We’re Clan cats, and we’re lost,’ Needlepaw explained. ‘We need to get back to our territories, and to do that we have to cross the river. Do you know the way?’
Alderpaw was surprised, and a little disturbed, that Needlepaw was giving the kittypet so much information. He was also disturbed that the kittypet looked so much like Firestar. We don’t know this cat. But then, he reassured himself, he probably has no idea what she’s meowing about. At that moment, the kittypet turned his bright emerald-green eyes on him, as if he could read Alderpaw’s thoughts. Or does he?
The flame-colored ginger tom stretched his jaws in a huge yawn like a leader would yawn like, his muscles rippling under his thick pelt. ‘Do you have anything to do with those three cats who were here at sunrise?’ he asked.

A bit later………..

“At last Needlepaw and the Firestar-looking kittypet reappeared from the monster’s den. Needlepaw was swiping her tongue around her jaws with satisfaction. ‘That was great.’ she mewed.
‘Thanks, Bob.’
Bob? Alderpaw thought. The kittypet’s name is Bob? Weird! For some odd reason, I thought it was Rusty!
‘Yeah, thanks, Bob,’ he repeated. ‘You’ve been really helpful.’
‘Glad to,’ Bob responded, touching noses with Needlepaw. ‘Good luck on your journey.'”

And so, this excerpt from The Apprentice’s Quest shows that Bob is really Firestar’s reincarnation as a kittypet, so he could finish his life out as “Rusty” once more.
But, my theory is shared by many other people, and it’s not JUST me. Many people on the Warrior Cat Forum have made topics regarding Bob. Hopefully it will be proved in Hawkwing’s Journey, or Thunder and Shadow. So anyway, thanks guys for reading! And <3 Warriors “furever”!

It’s a good theory, but it’s definitely not true. There’s no reason for Firestar to want to be reincarnated as a kittypet. The reason for Cinderpelt to be reincarnated was because she never got to be a warrior. And I honestly see no comparison between this reincarnation and Cinderpelt’s. If there’s any reason for Bob looking Firestar, it’s probably because he’s genetically related to one of Firestar’s brothers or sisters etc. Nonetheless, nice article.
I already asked Kate if he was related to Firestar but she said no
Nice article, Coyote! I don’t particularly think that Firestar was reincarnated since there isn’t really a reason. Cinderpelt got reincarnated because Starclan thought it was unfair that through Tigerstar (or claw at the time), she was rendered unable to live out her dreams as a warrior. It also wasn’t the path that Starclan had planned out for her, so they felt pretty bad that she was forced to be a medicine cat. Firestar, one the other hand, lived out his lives and fulfilled the prophecies that included him. The Clan life suited him far more than the kittypet life ever did, so I can see no reason why he or Starclan would want him to live a boring, dull kittypet life now that he had a taste of what Clan life was like. If anything, Bob is probably either a distant relative or its just a huge coincidence. There are many cats in the world that looks exactly like each other, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch.
Great article! This is a very interesting theory, but I don’t really think it’s true. Like…maybe Hawkfrost would do physical motions similar to Tigerstar, but it’s only because he’s related. Who knows? Maybe Bob is Firestar’s kin! 😀

Great article, but I don’t see why Firestar would need to be reincarnated. He didn’t exactly miss out on anything in life, like Cinderpelt. And besides, why would he be reincarnated as a KITTYPET? A respected clan leader like that shouldn’t be reincarnated as a kittypet, regardless of his origins. Reincarnating him as a kittypet either would be to have another Firestar-like leader, or just to like claw him and pour salt and lemon juice on the wound. Seriously, if the second was true, what did Firestar do to deserve that?

No. It never did. But it did say-

This is very nice theory! But I don’t think Firestar would want to be reincarnated into a kittypet. And he wouldn’t still be in StarClan if he was reincarnated into Bob. We would also more than likely know more about the character if Firestar was to be reincarnated into him, but we’ve only seen Bob once in the whole book. It was very interesting though!
This is an interesting theory! However, it can’t be true because we see Firestar in Starclan in The Apprentice’s Quest. If he were reincarnated, we would not see his spirit, such as in the Cinderpelt / Cinderheart scenario.
Maybe he was reincarnated after we see him in StarClan in TAQ’s prolog
