So we all know that Squirrelflight will probably die before she becomes leader. so below I’m going towrite down some cats who I think would make a great leader!

1. Cinderheart – She is loyal, young and reasonable to be leader. She is nice to most of the cats. We haven’t had a she-cat leader for quite a while, Onestar, Bramblestar and Rowanstar are all toms. Unlike other cats she isn’t bossy. She’s had an apprentice, she is very patient. Which cat wouldn’t be better than Cinderheart?

2. Cherryfall – So we don’t exactly know a lot about Cherryfall be she is very enthusiastic unlike her brother. She’s had an apprentice making her able to be deputy. She’s kind. She’s young and fit to be leader. Yea she probably not very wise but that comes with old age doesn’t it? So how does Cherrystar sound?

3. Bumblestripe – We all know Bumblestripe is kind, loyal and fair, why not make him the next leader, I know I would probably prefer the next leader to be a she-cat but I have my opinion? He’s then again young, smart and strong. He would probably be a wise choice as leader.

  • I wouldn’t mind Cinderheart as leader, but I don’t think Cherryfall or Bumblestripe are quite cut out for the job. Neither of them are stand-out cats in my opinion, since they aren’t the most spectacular warriors and haven’t really gone through enough to be able to lead a clan. Cinderheart has been through an identity crisis and a serious injury, but she came out of those as a better, wiser cat. I could also see Ivypool, Sparkpelt or Blossomfall as leaders, since they have all had unique experiences and Sparkpelt is described as better than your average warrior. Although, since she’s young she isn’t quite as responsible as a leader should be yet, but she might become more mature. Ivypool and Blossomfall have both survived the Dark Forest training, which could mean they are also stronger than some other Thunderclan cats. They have both learned to see through lies and choose the right path when they need to, and those are great qualities for future leaders in my opinion.

  • Nice list, Pumastripe! I’d love to see those cats as the next leader of ThunderClan but somehow I keep thinking that their time to shine has come and gone and that it’d be someone young and newer to the series who’d become the next leader!

  • I hope Squirrelflight becomes leader though. It’s unlikely considering the Erins’ choices in the past, but I love Squirrelflight’s character and I’d love to see her as Clan leader. Out of these, I think Cinderheart would be the best choice, but if there’s a new deputy/leader I think it will be a new cat.

  • I really like seeing articles like this, about future TC leaders and all.

    I think that these would be decent choices-
    Cinderheart
    Bumblestripe
    Thornclaw…?
    Mousewhisker…? [we need to see more of him, perhaps?]
    Ivypool
    or they might choose Sparkpelt, but I think most of us want the Fire-gene to stop leading.

  • I wish Squirrelflight could, but it is very rare for a leader’s 1st deputy to become next ;leader.
    Out of the three you listed I would choose Cinderheart (CINDERSTAR!!!) because she has been through much more than Bumblestripe and Cherryfall.
    Lionblaze could be next because well, he was one of the three and he is a very strong, bold warrior. He wou;d have to understand that he can get hurt now though!
    Brackenfur could also be a good leader becuase he has been through so much and has had practice beeing deputy. He might not last long though because he is old(ish)

  • At this point in time I’d say Lionblaze should eventually become leader. He’s the only cat that I really feel could make a good successor to Bramblestar. He’s got the charisma, the appropriate amount of respect from the other Clans for his skill in battle, and certainly his part in the prophecy would make him a popular choice, I should think. Granted, I’d personally love for a female leader this time around. Not sure I agree Cinderheart would be a good choice, though. Cherryfall… I haven’t seen enough of her to tell. Since we’re still really early on in Bramblestar’s rule, I’m going to assume we’ve got some time (or at least a pawful of lives) to think about it. *sits in front of Bramblestar with a sword and shield and watches for any Scourge-wannabes just in case like father like son NEVER*

  • Although I think all of these choices are great, I am going to politely disagree. Honestly, I think Ivypool could seriously have a huge lead. First of all she is a very skilled fighter and hunter. Secondly, she is very loyal to her clan. You may argue that she was on tech side of the dark forest, but in A Vision of Shadows she seems to be completely past that and becoming a kind and warm cat. Also, wouldn’t Bramblestar sympathize with her. His clan mates never really trusted him from the beginning and he trained in the dark forest, yet he overcame it and became leader. I think Bramblestar will see how Ivypool has proved to become a valuable, loyal, and honest cat. Lastly she has had a full character arc. I know it sounds desusional, but hear me out. Haven’t all leaders had some sort of journey or obstacle. Sure Cinderheart had this, but Ivypool’s was really challenging. It tested her morals, beliefs, and faith within herself. Ivypool has gone through so much and I think she definitely deserves at least being deputy. Go Ivystar!

  • I like this article, but I must disagree with all but Cinderheart.
    Cherryfall is way too childish to be a leader. Wisdom doesn’t always come with age. I might be biased because she’s the kit of Poppyfrost and Berrynose thought, and I’m a hard-core BerryXHoney person…..but I truly think that Cherryfall would not be a good leader. She basically takes nothing seriously except for what mummy and daddy think and is against all outsiders.
    Bumblestripe is nice and all that, but I don’t think he took Dovewing’s break-up very well and is all ‘BE MA MATE AGAIN!!!!’ He’s okay, but I don’t think he’s suited to be any sort of leader. He’s been through absolutely nothing except for love problems and the Great Battle against the Dark Forest, which a lot of cats have been through. I might be a bit biased too since I ship GrayXSilver and TigerXDove. But I truly think that he’s not creative nor strong enough.
    Cinderheart would be a great choice as she’s been through so much more than Cherryfall or Bumblestripe. She’s learned that she’s Cinderpelt’s second chance, she’s been through big confusion and sadness.
    But Ivypool has a great lead, I think. She was an AWESOME mentor to Twigpaw and basically Twigpaw’s person to cry on. She is loyal, trained, and skilled. She is strong, has good leadership qualities, and has been through a lot. She sacrificed herself each and every night before the Great Battle to help her Clan. Even though she went to the Dark Forest a bit, she came back and realized she was wrong. Bramblestar would see all that, and he would understand her. He himself had been lured by the Dark Forest and also pulled away like Ivypool. He understands her struggles and knows how strong and brave she was to turn away. He must also know from Firestar what Ivypool did. I think that either Ivypool or Cinderheart should be leader.
