Why wolves and warriors are alike by Wolfheart

Wolfheart discusses similarities between wolves and cats.

Hey Blog Clan, today I’m going to tell you what wolves and warriors have in common…

1. First of all, they live in packs.
Like warriors wolves live in groups from 2 to 20/30 wolves, the pack helps to bring food ( like warriors do )
But the difference is that wolves hunt one large prey in a group, this is more like a tribe hunting technique.

2. They have boundaries (territories)
Like all the Clans, wolves have territories and are extremely territorial if a different wolf pack trespasses the territory limits they attack the pack (like warriors do)
Also, they fight if the other wolves steal pray.
Like all clans wolves “patrol” their territory and refresh the scent marks every day.

3. Wolves have Ranks like all clans
ALPHA (leader) the one who decides all that the pack must do he/she also protects the pack
( the alpha has always a mate for life )

BETA(deputy), unlike warriors beta wolves, are chosen by the alpha’s mate, he/she is in charge to put all wolves in order, the beta also helps the female alpha wolf with her pups when she returns to her duties.

MIDDLE-RANK WOLVES (warriors)
These are the wolves who follow the alpha, they fight, help with hunting patrol, etc (like warriors do)

OMEGAS – unlike warriors, omegas are the ones who make peace in the pack they are miss treated by all superior wolves, but they are very important members of the pack

4. Wolves teach their young like mentors
All wolves especially the beta wolves have to teach their young to hunt, fight and the rank they are in.
Also wolves can take outsiders to the pack.
Although it’s very rare because normally wolves prefer to live with family than with strangers, they can be flexible.

5. Wolves enjoy each other’s company (sharing tounges)
Wolves play, run and eat together ( always the alpha fist and the Omega last) they enjoy each other’s company, like as warriors do.

6. Wolves are afraifd of two legs and prefer to be as far away as they can
You might not believe it but wolves are not aggressive against humans they are more likely to run from you than attack you, healthy wolves don’t attack humans.

7. Wolves use corporal language as well as cats.

I hope you liked it! 🐈🐺🙂

  • Perhaps survival techniques of different animals are similar out in the wild. After all, they’re working towards the same goal: to survive.

    Great article!

  • This is really good! (Maybe someday the Erins could write about wolves, but they already have a bunch of animals going on. :P)

  • I’m actually writing a book with wolves and I didn’t know some of this information. In one of the prequels I’m going to write, Aslak is the alpha. He chose his beta Ellie, then got mated to Ellie’s sister Ophelia. Ellie was shocked that she wasn’t the one chosen, but she still loved her sister and helped her when she could. (She was more upset with Aslak…) When Ophelia died protecting her son Darkfang, Ellie blamed Darkfang for Ophelia’s death. Eventually Ellie died, and Aslak (he didn’t take another mate after Ophelia died) chose Darkfang as his beta. Darkfang mated with Moonsong, an outsider who joined the pack with her brother and sister. Eventually, Darkfang became alpha, though he wasn’t a very good one… (That’s all I’m saying XD)

    • Apparently, the alphas are the only ones allowed, but lower wolves might mate in secret when the alpha female isn’t looking, and when they have pups the alpha female might try to steal them, but I guess I don’t have to worry about that in my book because 1. It’s fiction! and 2. The only other wolves that actually got mates were two of Darkfang and Moonsong’s pups who left the pack afterward and their remaining pup Eclipse, but Moonsong is the alpha female and she has such a nice personality I don;t think she would try to steal her own daughter’s pups 😛 Darkfang might not be as nice, but he’s the alpha male so he would just stay out of it.

  • Amazing article Wolfheart! 😀 I never knew any of this stuff about wolves (Except for the alpha and omega part.) so this was really interesting. 🙂

  • Some similarities between warriors and wolves are definitely there. But wolves do not have ranks like alphas and betas and omegas, that is an outdated theory that is old and has been debunked many times. There was a book written about the theory of the alpha wolf and since the last decade the man who wrote it even renounced his own theory and and told his fans to quit believing wolves have a supreme alpha. The truth is wolves live in a family with the parents and their offspring, not a hierachy society.

    • The father of the family is normally the Alpha figure. I read a book about this way and it was a set of mates, their pups, and a lone wolf they allowed in their pack. But it’s still easier and more fun to write about the Alpha and the ranks
