The Future Of SkyClan By Batflight

Batflight ponders what cats should join SkyClan.

SkyClan has finally joined the other warrior clans where they belong but it hasn’t been without many hits to their numbers. Compared to the other clans there are much fewer cats in SkyClan now due to their tumultuous journey. In order to maintain their place by the lake, they need a proper amount of cats to defend themselves and it seems unlikely to me that they would be able to do that with their current numbers. However, given SkyClan’s past, I think it’s likely they will recruit new cats to join their clan. Here are some cats I could see joining SkyClan in the future.

Violetpaw and Twigpaw – This one is a given. Violetpaw and Twigpaw have SkyClan blood through Hawkwing, the deputy of SkyClan. After feeling out of place in the current clans they are in it seems likely to me that they would want to join their remaining kin in SkyClan. That said I don’t think it will be an easy transition. As much as they’ve felt like outcasts in ShadowClan and ThunderClan respectively they were still raised there and likely have formed some kind of attachment to their homes. It will likely take a large push to get them to commit to joining SkyClan properly.

Alderheart – This has been a theory swirling around since the early days of the AVOS arc, but I think it’s a good one. Many people believed that Alderheart would leave his clan to join another. At first it seemed to point towards him joining ShadowClan, but when this was debunked with the addition of Puddleshine people started looking towards SkyClan as the clan he might join. ThunderClan currently has three medicine cats which is definitely more than usual. SkyClan currently doesn’t have a medicine cat at all. It seems likely to me that Alderheart would want to help SkyClan out with their situation, either by staying there permanently or at least long enough for another medicine cat to be trained by him in that clan. If Twigpaw ends joining SkyClan I think that will also be a push for Alderheart to join them given how close the two of them are.

Zelda and Loki – Now this one is more unlikely, but I feel the need to put them here as well. These two kittypets recruited by Darktail into the Kin are most likely done with the wild cat life, but on the off chance that they feel the need to return to the wild I think that SkyClan would certainly be the place for them.

Jessy – We haven’t seen this she-cat since Bramblestar’s Storm, but I think she would make a great candidate for SkyClan. Already she has great climbing skill, fitting of a SkyClan cat and has experience in a clan. Though she didn’t want to join SkyClan for fear of getting between Squirrelflight and Bramblestar it’s likely she’s gotten a taste for clan life and might try to join SkyClan.

Raven – This one is more of a reach, but I figured I might as well include it anyway. Popular theory states that Raven was the mate of Darktail. If that is the case it is a possibility that she is carrying Darktail’s kits currently. Maybe she would want the safety and security of clan life for her kits instead of running around as a rogue. The way she was so kind to Violetkit when she was nearly grabbed by an owl makes me feel as though there is more to her than meets the eye. Perhaps she’s not all bad and that personality will show once she is given the opportunity to settle down. Of course she’d probably have a lot of work to do to gain the trust of anybody especially Violetpaw.

Those are just a few cats who I think could possibly make good additions to SkyClan to boost their numbers. I also think it’s likely that SkyClan will simply recruit never before seen cats or perhaps start having more kits. Which cats would you like to see join SkyClan?
