Recently, one of the Chinese translators for Warriors, Bing Yang, contacted me through my Facebook page. It was lovely to hear from him and he asked me to write a note that he could post on a popular Chinese Warriors forums.
I wanted to share the responses with you. It is lovely to see that fans of Warriors have so much in common with each other, no matter which part of the world they live in. It’s also good to see how popular Warriors is in China, especially considering that we’re waiting on news from a Chinese film company about the Warriors movie.
Let’s hope Warriors’ popularity in China continues to soar and that the movie is getting closer. (I don’t have any actual movie news, I’m afraid. But let’s hope this is a good omen. 🙂 )

Darn…. all I can say in Chinese is “Hello” (“Ni Hao”) and that is because I watched that show, Ni Hao, Kai-lan.
I speak Chinese, so I’m really happy. Yesterday at dinner, my dad and I were discussing translating Warrior names to Chinese. Chinese given names are similar to Warriors names because it’s two characters (words). My Chinese name translated into an English Warrior cat name would probably be Morningdawn. My Tribe name would be “First Ray of Sunlight in the Morning”.
