Let’s see… I absolutely love Dovewing. She is (in my opinion) a sweet, naive cat, but I can see why people may see her as an annoying Mary Sue character. Well, just for fun, let’s see who out of the most loved/hated cats she’s related to!

Most Loved:
*Firestar- Well, this is pretty easy. the most beloved cat in the series’ sister is Princess, whose son is Cloudtail, whose daughter is Whitewing, whose daughter is Dovewing.
*Bluestar- Well, let’s see… Dovewing is related to Firestar, as established above, so she is indeed related to Bluestar! Firestar is Dovewing’s great-grandfather, and his mate is Sandstorm, whose mother is Brindleface, whose mate, besides Redtail, Sandstorm’s father, was Whitestorm. His mother was Snowfur, whose sister was Bluestar. And there we are, Bluestar is Dovewing’s great-great-great… aunt in-law?
*Greystripe(yes, I know, I spell it ‘weird…’)- So, based on Firestar again… Firestar’s daughter is Squirrelflight, whose mate is Bramblestar, whose mother was Goldenflower, whose mate (besides Tigerstar) was Patchpelt, whose son is Greystripe. Oh, and Firestar is related to Dovewing, being her great-grandfather.
*Brambleclaw is next! But this is really easy. Dovewing’s mother is Whitewing, whose father is Cloudtail, whose mother is Princess, whose brother is Firestar, whose daughter is Squirrelflight, whose mate is Bramblestar.
*Who’s next? CINDERPELT IS!! Whoo! I just love her! Well, Cinderpelt’s mother was Frostfur, whose mother was Robinwing, whose mate was Patchpelt, whose mate was Goldenflower, whose son is Bramblestar, whose mate is Squirrelflight, whose father is Firestar, whose sister is Princess, whose son is Cloudtail, whose daughter is Whitewing, whose daughter is, you guessed it, Dovewing!
*Yellowfang is up next! And probably last for the most loved, but she’s a difficult one, so is she related to Dovewing? What makes her one of the harder cats to track bloodlines is that she was ShadowClan with no relations in ThunderClan. Or so we thought. Well, Tawnypelt, didn’t you leave ThunderClan to join your father in ShadowClan? Yep! So, back to Yellowfang. Her mate was Raggedstar, whose brother was Scorchwind, whose mate was Darkflower, whose son is Rowanstar, whose mate is Tawnypelt, whose brother is Brambleclaw, whose mate is Squirrelflight, whose father was Firestar, whose sister is Princess, whose son is Cloudtail, whose daughter is Whitewing, whose daughter is Dovewing! Wow! So many cats!!

Most Hated:
*Tigerstar- This is very simple as well. Firestar’s (who is related to Dovewing, as we established above) daughter is Squirrelflight, whose mate is Bramblestar, whose father is Tigerstar. And there you have it, folks.
*Ashfur- This is that one guy that half the fandom hates because he attempted to kill three cats, and the other half loves because he didn’t actually kill the Three, he only tried to. Well, he’s related through Sandstorm. His half-sister was Sandstorm, whose mate was Firestar, whose sister’s son is Cloudtail, whose granddaughter is Dovewing. That was simple enough.
*Millie- I do hate Millie, but I just hate her for no real reason. She’s related because she’s Graystripe’s mate, and we established earlier that Graystripe is related to Dovewing, so…
*Rainflower- Graystripe, as we’ve discovered, is related to Dovewing, and his mate was Silverstream, whose father was Crookedstar, whose mother was Rainflower.
*Thistleclaw- I don’t know why Thistleclaw is in the Dark Forest. I mean, he did kind of “create” Tigerstar and Scourge’s relationship, but he couldn’t have foretold that. He taught Tigerpaw the way he thought he should have, and Scourge was a “side effect”. I don’t like him, but he probably shouldn’t have been placed in the Dark Forest. Wait… nevermind, I forgot that he taught Tigerpaw to kill, and trained in the Dark Forest as well. Bluestar is related to Dovewing, right? Bluestar’s sister was Snowfur, whose mate was Thistleclaw. Simple.
