Hey! It’s Lily, and I’m here to banter about… Ummm… what was I bantering about again?
Right. Millie. So, I’m not going to deny that Millie neglected her other children while caring for Briarlight. I hated her for that. People say, ‘oh, Millie had to look after her disabled child, wouldn’t you?’ Well, she did, but she forgot about her other kits in the process. In fact, she even accused them of not caring that Briarlight would give anything to be a warrior, to walk. That, my kitties, is where you can no longer protect her.
But, in her defense, Millie made Greystripe happy. She showed him the way . She was the one who went on a perilous journey with him, not caring what happened to her on the way. She was the one who bore his kits. She saved his life too, Silverstream fans!
You’ve got to admit, Greystripe deserved that. And Millie gave it.
So, Millie and Greystripe isn’t a bad ship in itself, but Millie and her kits really need to make up. Millie was worried about her disabled child and took it too far, but with good reason.
This is why you shouldn’t HATE Millie. She deserves credit for being a mother, and a guide.
Sorry. Had to soften the Millie-haters’ hearts.
Silverstream vs Millie. A tough question.
People say all over the internet about Silverstream that she was ‘just a childhood crush’ and was a sort of ‘practice’ for Greystripe. But he DID love her, and most people believe that Silverstream is Greystripe’s final choice in StarClan. This is probably the case, as the so-called ‘childhood crush’ ended in her death and moons of Greystripe in RiverClan.
Millie and Silverstream both love Greystripe. There’s going to be trouble in StarClan, but Millie has had Greystripe the longest. So you could say that it’s Millie in life, Silverstream in death. That has logic, don’t you think?
[CONCLUSION]
Grey×Millie: They bonded through peril and she brought him home.
Grey×Silver: She saved his life, he loved her, but he couldn’t save her.

I don’t really know which ship is best
I don’t really care for either. All I care about is Silverstream’s name and how it’s beautiful and I love it 😛 (I also love her fursona) And I love Stormfur and Feathertail and she was the one who bore them so…..ok I think I’ll just have to go with SilverxGray just because it annoyed the heck out of me but then I cried so hard at Silverstream’s death.
Millie I don’t have much of an opinion on her. I don’t love or hate her.
I however don’t like Graystripe (I never bonded with him as others would) so I never really liked any of his ships very much.
Personally I’m a GrayXSilver person, as many of you guys know. I’m not gonna bother explaining it extensively, but you guys can read my GrayXSilver vs GrayXMillie posts.
So I feel like GrayXMillie isn’t really a good ship because Graystripe sorta avoided Millie and his kits with her?

Nice article 😸! I think Graystripe will choose Silverstream in Starclan. Though he had went through a lot with Millie, I think his heart is still linking to Silverstream. See how similar do the two she-cats look like. Graystripe chose Millie as his second mate because she reminded him of Silverstream. Besides, Graystripe did sacrifice to be with Silverstream and their kits, but the time of them staying together didn’t last long. So, I think Graystripe will like to spend more time with his former mate and choose Silverstream in Starclan.
I’m neutral on either ship. They both have their pros and cons. Great article! 😀

But I think that Graystripe’s heart is with Millie now. He still misses Silversteam, but has gotten over her death.
Personally I don’t mind Millie that much. True she was a little annoying, neglecting her kits over Briarlight, but I guess that’s…. understandable, in a sense. Her kits are all grown up, after all, and Briarlight did need some special attention, especially right after her accident. I think one thing I kind of wished for Millie when she first joined ThunderClan was for her to change her kittypet name. But over time I got used to Millie being Millie, so…. yeah, I guess to me I’m ok with Millie. She’s not my favourite character, but I don’t hate her.
Grey x Silver is the best! Silverstream should have lived!!

Great article! 😀 I personally don’t hate Millie. I understand that as a mother she was terrified for Briarlight, and spent more time with her. However, I don’t think this was an excuse for her to neglect her other kits. But it’s not like while she was caring for Briarlight she thought ‘oh Briarlight is superior to my other kits and they don’t deserve my love’. No. I believe that as a mother, Millie was doing what she thought was best for Briarlight. It was wrong for her to snap at her other kits, but she was just scared for Briarlight. Millie had her faults, but she was ultimately the one who made Graystripe happy in the end, and really tried to be a good mother, at least at the beginning.
But I also love Silverstream as well. She and Graystripe truly were in love, until her death. And Graystripe sacrificed everything to be with her, and then, to be with her kits. Although her story did end in tragedy, I think Silverstream was one of the bravest characters.
I also don’t really like the idea of cats having to choose who they belong with in StarClan. It’s definitely necessary, but it doesn’t really sit well with me. Graystripe would most likely choose Silverstream though, because he was shown to love her more than he loved Millie.

Nice article, but I don’t agree with everything. I’ve said my opinion on this with MANY Millie defense paragraphs and rants. Not to mention my articles, and more on the way 😛 😛 . I love both Silverstream and Millie and both GrayxSilver and GrayxMillie, but I prefer Millie and GrayxMillie because I think they’re more developed.
Personally, I think Graystripe will be with both of them in StarClan at the same time! I don’t think there’s any reason for him to CHOOSE between them. 🙂

Sorry to many loyal Millie supporters, but I am more of a GrayxSilver person. Graystripe and Silverstream are meant to be together. Gray and Silver are both similar colors… (Half-Joking)
