Why Their Plans Didn’t Work and a skit by Bluefire

Bluefire takes a look at the various villains of Warriors and why they failed at their plans.

Basically I’m going to look through the plans of the main villains in the Warriors series and tell you why I think they didn’t work. DISCLAIMER: I haven’t read the series’ in a while, so this might not all be correct. Also SPOILERS AHEAD.

Failed Plan 1 – Tigerclaw
Basically Tigerclaw’s plan was to take over the forest and the clans using TigerClan and Scourge’s army. However his plan failed because he decided to trust Scourge, who was just as evil and as much a liar as he was. Sorry Tigerclaw, but that’s dumb. Scourge, of course, took advantage of this, and killed Tigerclaw, taking all nine of his lives in one blow.

Failed Plan 2 – Scourge
Let’s talk about this crazy rogue for a minute. He basically wanted revenge on Tigerclaw. He gets this. But instead of retreating with his army after he got what he wanted, he decided to launch his own campaign against the forest cats! What the heck, Scourge? What were you thinking? Of course he doesn’t count on the clans all teaming up to fight him and Firestar not losing all his lives like Tigerclaw did. Scourge is killed.

Failed Plan 3 – Dark Forest
Yeah, great idea on the surface, get a bunch of clan cats to train with you, then take them over from the inside. However these sneaky evil cats aren’t that good at sniffing out traitors to their cause. Ivypool was able to sneak information to ThunderClan quite easily just by pretending to play along. Which, in turn, lead to the Dark Forest losing. Also none of them planned for StarClan intruding or the complete determination to win on the clans’ side.

Failed Plan 4 – Darktail
Another attempted takeover of the clans. What is it with that? He actually got farther than most, though, completely driving out SkyClan before taking over ShadowClan. However he still didn’t have a big enough army to even think about taking on the clans and wiping them all out. Sure, he did some damage, but knowing the clans they’ll be fine. Especially with SkyClan coming back into play.

I’m sure I forgot a few, like One Eye or Sol, but I don’t remember enough details about their conquests to attempt to break them down.

Now let’s talk about the motives of these villains.
Tigerclaw – lust for power.
Scourge – revenge.
Dark Forest – revenge.
Darktail – revenge.

Wow. There’s a bit of a theme here. A lot of cats were out for revenge, especially in the battle of Dark Forest. Revenge is a really stupid motive, though. The cat or cats are blinded with anger at something another did to them, and they want payback. If they had gotten their revenge, though, would that have really made it better? If their plans hadn’t been thwarted, would they have just sat back and wondered what the heck to do with the rest of their lives? I think they would’ve. Same with Tigerclaw just wanting more power. When would he have stopped? Probably never, because he’d just keep on taking over until he died. These motives have to real substance and would not be fulfilling in the end. All they did was make these cats murderers and take away any chance of them ever being accepted again. Not a smart move.

Now, we’ll be joined by my interpretation of some of our (my) favorite characters for some sort of talk show to fill time.

Well.
Okay.
That— um—
That escalated quickly.
Um…. I will see you next time, I suppose.
And— yeah. I guess Hawkfrost ditched me for Darkie. But it’s fine. I’ve got Jaybae now.
But who else thinks that would be an interesting relationship?
I mean, Hawkfrost and Darktail? I see a fanfiction on the horizon.
Possibly.
See you next time, on The Daily Article.
