Graystripe and Silverstream: A Love Story by Hawthornclaw

Hi!!!!!!! I’m Hawthornclaw here with my first article (I’ve done others but they weren’t 350 words so whoops). I’m writing the love story of my favorite character, Graystripe, and his mate, Silverstream. Their love is Warriors history and should really be documented, so I will do it. Sounds good right? Let’s start with the beginning.

So, here we are, the beginning, the start of it all. In ThunderClan, right on the border of RiverClan, Graystripe and Fireheart (star) are training their apprentices, Brackenpaw (fur) and Cinderpaw (pelt). It’s a normal, cold day, and everyone is doing fine, a very unusual thing for Warriors (no one’s every just fine, this is true.). But, since no one’s ever just fine, something needs to happen, as it always does, to make things exciting or, in this case, funny. So, Graystripe tries to teach Brackenpaw how to catch a water vole, which seems easy to him (he can be crazy, that young Graystripe!). Earlier, I told you it was cold, which was important. THE RIVER WAS FROZEN!!!!!!!! Graystripe dived in, and almost drowns. Fireheart, Cinderpaw, and Brackenpaw are shocked. But, it’s time for Super Silverstream to come to the rescue!!!!! Or, in other words, Silverstream, a young RiverClan
she-cat who just happens to be on the border, sees Graystripe, dives in, saves him, and the funniest words in all of the first series happen, which are:
Silverstream: You idiot! What are you doing on my territory?
Graystripe: Drowning.
Silverstream: Can’t you do that in you own territory?
Graystripe: Ah, but who would rescue me there?
You’ve got to admit, that’s hilarious. So, Graystripe and Silverstream learn each other’s names, and Graystripe hopes to meet Silverstream again sometime. Yeah right, he “hopes” to. Everyone who’s read it knows by then about their love. So, time for part 2!

Since they don’t talk much about them meeting again the first time, I’m going to try and make the story. Here goes nothing:

Graystripe tosses and turns in bed.
Dustpelt: Graystripe, will you stop that? No cat can get a wink of sleep around here! You’ve been doing this since last night!
Graystripe: Sorry Dustpelt. I’ve just not been able to sleep lately. I don’t know why.
Dustpelt: Well your not being able to sleep is turning into my not being able to sleep, so go to sleep so I can too!
Graystripe hears Dustpelt snoring and lies down.
Graystripe: It’s almost sunrise. Maybe I can go and see her. She is making me not sleep.
Graystripe looks to see if the coast is clear, and sees Fireheart sound asleep next to him.
Graystripe: (quietly whispers) I’m sorry Fireheart. I love her. Goodbye.
Graystripe walks to the border of ThunderClan and RiverClan, where Silverstream and some other RiverClan warriors are coming back from the dawn patrol. Silverstream is the only one who sees him.
Silverstream: Get back into camp, guys, I’ll be right there
The others nod their heads
Silverstream: What are you doing here this time?
Graystripe: Um, well.
Silverstream: I have to go, so what is it.
Graystripe: I love you.
Silverstream: (confused) What? You don’t even know me!
Graystripe: Well, I know you saved my life.
Silverstream is shocked. Graystripe is in love
Silverstream: Let’s talk tomorrow at dawn.
They do. They meet many other times. Fireheart soon discovers and tries to control it. He doesn’t. Well, time for part 3.

I’m going through this part fast.
In Forest of Secrets, it is revealed that Silverstream’s having kits.
On the day she has kits, everything’s crazy, and it’s from an unexperienced medicine cat. She dies due to loss of blood, but the kits survive and become great warriors. Graystripe moves to RiverClan, but comes back soon.

Well, sorry about ending that on a negative tone! But I would love to hear what you think of it! Also, if anyone thinks it was good, I would like to hear your suggestions for future articles!
