A Month’s Round-up in Cats: Kitties On the Move

May’s (one day late) Edition of Round-up!

May I presume you had a good month?

What a month it’s been!  It’s nearing the end of the school year, and I’m sure lots of us have been busy with schoolwork and general stress…well, here are some kitty cats to heal your anxious mind!

“ROAR!”

Let’s start off with some amazing scientific research that some folks have done.  A behavioral ecologist at the University of Derby put little cameras on 16 different cats to follow their journeys for up to 4 years.  What a great idea, right?

I have a feeling I know who came up with this study…

This research revealed a lot…particularly that neighborhood cats spend loads of time scanning their surroundings (up to a half an hour) and that house cats tend to follow their person around from room to room, even if the owner didn’t realize.

Flowers!

Below is a video of some snippets of the cat’s wonderful interactions.

Additionally, we unfortunately lost a great one this month.  Tartar Sauce, known by many as Grumpy Cat, died on May 14th. While it’s a loss to all of us, we can treasure some wonderful moments with her (and wonderful pictures!).

We miss you!

Anyway, we hope you had a great month!
