Pinesplash shares some theories on the newest Warriors book, Lost Stars. Major spoilers for Lost Stars! Read at your own risk!

Alright so if you’re caught up on Warriors Series then you should have read the newest book, The Broken Code: Lost Stars. This books follows three main characters, Rootpaw, Bristlefrost, and Shadowpaw. Now don’t continue this unless you’ve read the ENTIRE book! Near the end we see that Bramblestar is on the verge of death and Shadowpaw has a vision of how to cure him. The process is risky, and the cats are hesitant at first to go through with it, even him. Another problem is that StarClan has been silent and the Moonpool is frozen over, disconnecting them from the living world completely, except for Shadowpaw. After believing that Bramblestar was dead, he miraculously comes back to life. Everything is fine, then at the very end Rootpaw sees the ghost of Bramblestar walking towards him and asking for his help. Okay, now time for the theories.

1. Bramblestar lied

Here is the theory that I personally believe, and it is that Bramblestar lied about going to StarClan when he died. This would explain why one of his lives is walking around in the forest, because it didn’t make it to StarClan. From reading a scene in Omen of the Stars, we remember that each time a leader loses a life it joins StarClan, but can’t speak or hear until all lives have been lost, and the cat is full. So one life, transparent and scared, is walking around in SkyClan territory. I think its obvious that Rootpaw has inherited Tree’s power, so that explains why he saw the ghost. Back to Bramblestar lying, I think he lied at the gathering to prevent further panic, because the cats are already freaking out because of the disconnection from StarClan.

2. Evil

I saw this theory on Instagram, and it is a pretty good one. The theory was that the soul of the life Bramblestar lost was taken over by an evil cat, possibly dark forest. Oooooooh scary. Could he have been planning something when he asked Rootpaw for help? Will Rootpaw be tricked into evil ways by this mysterious soul?

3. Evil pt 2

The final theory is similar to the first. However, this one is that the LIVING Bramblestar has been taken over, which is why it took him so long to back. That would mean that the spirit Rootpaw saw is the real Bramblestar, and he is asking for help to get back to his Clan and mate. That would be pretty… exciting. I would love to see this happen honestly.
