BlogClanner In The Spotlight: Glademist

In this month’s edition of BITS, we are interviewing Glademist!

Welcome to this month’s BlogClanner In The Spotlight (BITS) interview! This month’s interviewee is Glademist, or Glade! Glade has been here a few years now, since January 1, 2016. Let’s jump right into this interview to learn more about her! 😀

Q: How did you discover Warriors?  How about BlogClan?

I discovered Warriors in fifth grade. My teacher had this mini “library” of sorts (it was really just a bookshelf) from which we could check out books to read. Being an avid cat lover, I couldn’t help but notice the copy of Into the Wild on the shelf. I must admit though, I put it back after reading the blurb because I figured it would be boring. I gave the book a second chance after a friend of mine mentioned that she had been looking for a copy, and after that, I was hooked. As for BlogClan, I don’t exactly remember how I discovered it, although I believe it was by following a link on the Warriors Wiki.

Q: Why did you choose this name? Is it your original? 🌊

This isn’t my original name. Those of you that knew me back in my new member days know that I used to be called Mistpaw/Mistypaw/Mist that Shimmers at Dawn (cringe). I changed my name to Glade- because I am very indecisive and I wanted something unique (also, I didn’t want to be confused with the other Mists on the Blog). Glade fit the bill—I hadn’t heard of anyone with the same name. I chose the suffix -mist as a tribute to my old name. I can’t say I’m particularly attached to the name Glademist, because it reminds me of air freshener (and my suffix doesn’t help rip), but I couldn’t imagine being called anything else, so here we are. Winter Edit: I love your name!!

Q: Favourites! Book, song, quote, and celebrity.

Book: I don’t think I have a favorite book, per se. I do remember enjoying Satellite (after I got past the writing style) and We Were Liars (it actually made me cry!), although I haven’t read them in a while, and my opinion tends to change with time.
Song: Depends on my mood, honestly. An old time favorite of mine is Marry You by Bruno Mars.
Quote: If you were expecting an inspirational-type quote, then here’s my favorite in that category: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson
Celebrity: I don’t really have one. Is that weird? 😛 Winter Edit: Yes No!

Q: Soup or sandwiches??? 🥪🍲

Soup, definitely. Especially Hot ‘n Sour soup, mmm. But maybe a particularly excellent sandwich could change my mind! Winter Edit: Soup is my fav too!

Q: Which Warriors book title is your favourite? Which arc title? 😸

I don’t have a single favorite book title; however, I would have to say that I liked the time-themed titles in the New Prophecy arc (e.g. Midnight, Moonrise, Dawn, etc). My favorite arc title is A Vision of Shadows. It’s a nice paradox. (I had to scroll through all the titles to figure this out—shh).

Q: What page on the Blog are you most active on? Why?

I’m not as active as I’d like to be on the Blog, but currently I think I’m most active on the Tavern and the Hug Page. I like the Tavern because it’s sort of like the blog’s main hub–you can pretty much find anyone there. I’m active on the Hug Page because I enjoy giving people advice and support, and I love the concept of the Hug Page in general.

Q: What is your favourite Blog event (Gatherings, Elections, contests, BITS, AMROIC, etc.)?

I’m terrible with favorites; I’ll almost always pick more than one. I enjoy BITS because I love learning about my fellow BlogClanners on a more personal level. Gatherings are also great because the entire Blog comes together in good spirits. They’re a wonderful opportunity to make new friends. 😀

Q: And finally, choose one BlogClanner who is a senior warrior, one who  is a warrior, and one who is an apprentice, each who you think would be perfect to help you pull off a heist. 😈👀🕐

Ooh, this is going to be difficult. There are so many good people to choose from! From the senior warriors, I’d go with Iceflower, because all her Six of Crows knowledge would probably render her an expert on heists. 😉 Also, I feel like there’s a criminal mastermind buried in there somewhere. From the warriors, I would choose Goldenfawn, simply because they’re very sweet and kind, which are good attributes for a teammate to have, especially if you’re going to be in a high-stress situation. In the unlikely event that we were caught, I feel like Goldi would be most likely to be able to convince our captor of our complete innocence. And finally, at the time I’m writing this, Birchfoot is still MCA, so from the apprentices, I would choose her (is that cheating? :P). I feel that Birchy is very rational and sensible, which, again, are essential qualities for any teammate to have. Her opinion would be very valuable when considering how to proceed. Plus, Birchy used to be my mentor, so that gives her extra brownie points!

Thanks go to Glade for being such a fun, interesting subject! I hope you guys enjoyed this edition of BITS. Fresh off Elections, and straight to this! See you next month for the August interview. Tell me all your thoughts in the comments. Bye! 😃
