  • Yo…. I think it’s safe to say ASHFUR is the imposter? In the book, the spirit jumped out of Bramblestar’s body, and Shadowsight said it had BLUE eyes…. link? The imposter also said he could see Shadowsight because he had been dead before, and when they had caught him in the end of the book, he said to Squirrelflight “I came back for you!” My final reason is when he thought Squirrelflight died, he broke down into tears, even though she wasn’t really the imposter’s mate. I feel like Ashfur would do that because he DID love Squirrelflight, it is just she kept rejecting him. I’m not quite sure but didn’t he only exile Squirrelflights relatives and “family” (as in Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Squirrelflight herself, Twigbranch) in the beginning? These are my reasons…. what do you guys think?

(He only got into starclan because Yellowfang said his only crime was loving too much…. I don’t think that’s loving! Unless it’s not Ashfur? And maybe the cat on the cover is Ashfur??)

    • Ashfur would be the obvious choice, I suspected him from the beginning, and they have been making a pretty big deal about him being in Starclan. The only reason he would want to come back is because he wanted power, or Squirrelflight. Most likely Squirrelflight. I think the two main suspects are Spiresight and Ashfur. The cat with the creepy yellow eyes on the cover is Spiresight, so…. I haven’t read Tigerheart’s Shadow yet, so this is my first impression of Spiresight, and I think he is really creepy. Here are some of my plan B’s that I made up(they’re pretty funny,) while I was in a bit of denial about Ashfur.
      1) Spottedleaf somehow came back and wants to haunt Squirrelflight because she is the only direct living thing of FirexSand.
      2) It’s Firestar. Firestar never wanted to give up the power, and he took over Bramblestar’s body because he wanted it so much. That’s why Squirrelflight only was going to tell everybody about who the impostor is until the end of the book.
Squirrelflight says that “If it’s true, than it’s worse than we thought.” I don’t think Ashfur is that much of a villain, he’s honestly too mouse-brained to think of this. But, I am still suspicious of him.

  • Kate I have some questions about Warriors
    1. when Jayfeather goes to StarClan will he no longer be blind?
    2. When Cloudtail dies will he go to StarClan ?
    3. When Brightheart dies will she get her eye that she lost back?
    4. will Lionblaze get a novel?

  • Oh Kate I have a question before my exams tomorrow (Starclan save me-)

I notice that Tree and Rootspring’s relationship is rocky but mending, and it reminds me of Matthias and Mattimeo (Redwall) or Naruto and Boruto (Naruto next gen). So is their relationship based off any of those, or even a real life relationship?

Also, who’s a better bean, Needleclaw or Shadowsight-

    • Their relationship just sprang out of their characters. They weren’t based on anyone.
Needle and Shadow are both excellent beans 🙂

  • Aight, hi people. Before Veil of Shadows got released, I tried defending Ashfur, but after, I let my guard down. But now, I made a new theory on who the impostor could be, and I wanted to share it with you guys!

So, you all know how during Omen of the Stars, the Dark Forest was rising. Well, what if a Dark Forest cat with blue eyes (for example, Snowtuft) tried to get Squirrelflight evil, since Bramblestar stopped talking with her after that secret got revealed and stuff? Squirrelflight rejected him though, but Snowtuft (Maybe it would be another cat, he’s the only blue-eyed Dark Forest cat I can think about) still stayed around her. And yes, that happened offscreen. ‘I see you haven’t lost your fire.’ What if Squirrelflight defended Snowtuft from- let’s say, StarClan spirits?

‘I came back for you.’ Maybe Snowtuft had a crush on Squirrelflight, and it wouldn’t be weird, because I think they would have the same age, or around that. And maybe Snowtuft couldn’t interact with Squirrelflight anymore because, after The Great Battle, The Dark Forest got cut off from the Clans, and then Snowtuft managed to posess Bramblestar, because he knew he and Squirrelflight became mates again.

Now, with Ashfur. Maybe Snowtuft knows about Ashfur, so what if he changed his voice to sound like Ashfur, and then Squirrelflight says that the impostor is Ashfur, thinking that he is, but in reality, Snowtuft changed his voice. Now, maybe after a while, Ashfur reveals that he isn’t the impostor, and maybe fights alongside Squirrelflight, showing that he changed, and I mean fighting the impostor. His spirit either dies and he fades away forever (like Spottedleaf did) or barely escapes.

That’s all! What do you guys think of my theory? If this is what will happen, would you like it?

    • totally agree but i have HUGE theory (chances of it being real 1%)
      MILLIE IS THE IMPOSTER’S HELPER
think about it. she randomly DISAPEARED after squirrelflights hope,
she has blue eyes and grey fur too!!! (or maybe its cause ihate her)
she has ALWAYS hated jayfeather for not “treating” briarlight properly.
ANYWAY coudnt find reasons for the other ones tho.
and yeah if that happened i would like the idea of a dark forest cat liking a TC cat. tigerstar would probably have said “you cant be mates with a kittypets daughter” to snowtuft so now thats tigerstar is GONE, VANISHED, POOF
he finally got his chance (evil music comes on)

      • I mean it could be Millie. But I feel like it would be a cat we didn’t know (mostly because I don’t remember a cat that was so obsessed with rules and the warrior code) but idk I haven’t read the book yet. It’s coming on the 25!

      • Ooh, now THAT would be interesting!
But still, Larksong also dissapeared after Squirrelflight’s Hope (before the book came out), and we found out he died. Ambermoon too.
But for real, Millie did dissapear, she wasn’t even mentioned that she died. Ratscar would be the same, but I don’t think he would be the impostor’s helper. I feel like it would be interesting if Millie was the imposter’s helper, but I’m not really sure, because I think she forgave Jayfeather (?)

  • Hey, on page 165 in Lost Stars, it says a tom mocked Shadowpaw and warned him about the codebreakers. This is probably the imposter speaking. I’m not very good at making theories but for anyone who is, that page has a few good clues – read it yourselves (again).

  • Also everyone noticed right from the start of Lost Stars that Bramblestar was acting weird

  • Why aren’t any of my comments coming up except 2

  • As well as that, maybe the imposter told Shadowpaw the treatment because he knew Bramblestar would die and he could take over?

  • Hey Kate 🙂
do you have a coat color for Reedclaw for us? She’s listed as a bright tabby queen. Are there any descriptions or names for the deceased kits of Bellaleaf and Harespring?

  • Wouldn’t it be a major plot twist if the impostor ended up being some cat who WASN’T Ashfur and the reason Ashfur is on the cover of The Place Of No Stars is because he helps them?
Not that I think that will happen. Just a thought.

  • I can’t wait for the new realise! It’ll be interesting to know the deputy and Leadership positions of Thunderclan at the end of the arc. Will Lionblaze and Squirrelflight (Star, possably ) still be in charged?

    • Probably, unless Bramblestar comes back!
Lionblaze and Crowfeather as deputy of their respective Clans! Plus Jayfeather as the medicine cat, of course. This is going to be fun.

  • Hi Kate!
I’m just wondering if you know who replaced Crowfeather as deputy while he was exiled?
