I am not a huge fan of novella sets, and I have only read one set (the Leafpool, Dovewing, and Tigerstar one) but I REALLY want to get this one! I am dying to know what happened to Pebbleshine and I love Mothwing! I used to not really want to read Tree’s Roots but when I read a bit about his backstory is Squirrelflight’s Hope, I got so excited! Can’t wait!

After reading Squirrelflight’s Hope, I think Tree’s Roots has the potential to be very interesting and give us more insight into the ways of the Sisters from a tom’s perpective.

My thoughts
PEBBLESHINE’S KITS- This is on the time Pebbleshine spent in the culvert
TREE’S ROOTS- The time Earth/Tree lived with the Sisters
MOTH FLIGHT’S SECRET- No idea, as Moth Flight already has her own super edition, there isn’t much time in her life left that we don’t know about. My guess would be the space between the end of the super edition and the beginning of the manga

Here’s some of my thoughts on the novellas announced, but with some more added onto them since the release of SqH:
Tree’s Roots: This was the one I was the most excited for even before SqH, and it still is. I’m intrigued by Tree’s past and I’m curious to see what other role the Sisters might play (though I don’t like them much). It’ll be nice to see the Sisters from a POV that will be less…biased towards them, to say the least.
Pebbleshine’s Kits: I’m curious to see how this one plays out, because when reading through Hawkwing’s Journey she didn’t seem to have any other personality other than “Hawkwing’s rival/love interest”, I must say. However I’m mainly curious to see how Pebbleshine herself will be handled as well as the names she had in mind for Violetshine and Twigbranch before she died. But that’s about it.
Mothwing’s Secret: Intriguing considering we haven’t had a RiverClan POV in a long while. As much as I would prefer to focus on the modern day RiverClan so I can learn more about them now, this seems pretty good as well as the fact that I’m curious to read a Mothwing POV. I really want to see them go into more detail on Mothwing’s relationship with Hawkfrost and Mudfur, too. Maybe Leafpool as well seeing as we only ever saw it from Leafpool’s side?
