Ok I LOVED Spotfur’s Rebellion and I stand by the fact that she is my favorite character in TBC. Also, at the end when she was thinking about how she would never have kits with Stemleaf because he was dead, the entire time I was just thinking about how I knew she was wrong and she was actually pregnant as she thought those words.
Blackfoot’s Reckoning. Okay, I wasn’t expecting the whole Blizzardwing’s affair thing. I mean warriors has had cats have multiple mates in the earlier books, but cheating was never addressed. It was interesting, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. All I have to say is poor Featherstorm. She can’t catch a break, can she?! First, she mates with a kittypet and is an outcast in her own Clan, and then her new mate cheats on her and 3/5 of her kits die!
I liked Blizzardwing before I found out he cheated on Featherstorm
Also forgot to mention that I loved how Lionheart was finally confirmed to be Frostfur’s mate

Yup! It was during a battle scene and Blackfoot was like “he recognized the white queen as Lionheart’s mate, Frostfur.” And then I silently freaked out because FINALLY
I just had the worst idea for a super edition or novella ever. The main character would be Jayfeather. In this imaginary story, Jayfeather would travel back in time and accidentally alter a vital event in the Warriors universe, like the moment where Firestar joins Thunderclan or something to that effect. The rest of the book would be about Jayfeather trying to fix the timeline. If you’re feeling really spicy, Jayfeather fails and the timeline stays messed up. This could be used to launch a reboot of the whole universe, and an entire arc could be written that’s essentially just TPB if Rusty stayed a kittypet. In this scenario, I think either Graystripe or Ravenpaw would be the main character. Erins, feel free to use this idea if eventually everything gets too crazy and you want a fresh start. Someone please write a fanfic about this concept.
Random, but did anyone else love the little interaction with Breezepelt in Daisy’s Kin? He was still his typical bristly self for a second, but he softened up and was actually kind and reasonable once he figured out what was going on. It seems like being a father has really made him mature and he’s definitely got a softer, sympathetic side now, especially for kits. Idk why but it made my heart happy 🙂

I haven’t read Blackfoot’s Reckoning yet, but I’m curious about something else about ShadowClan. Kate, is Smokepaw from Secrets of the Clans a young Smokefoot from The New Prophecy or someone else? Plus, who was the mother of Nightstar and Clawface? If a different she-cat, it turns out that Toadskip had four mates at the same time! o-o

Spotfur and Stemleaf are both two of my favorite characters, and Daisy’s Kin and Blackfoot’s Reckoning was heartbreakingly beautiful <3

It was awesome reading through her POV and about Berrynose & Hazeltail😢 Her interactions with Smoky were super interesting❤️❤️

Spotfur’s Rebellion was so heart-breakingly beautiful and one of my favorites! I loved seeing her apprenticeship and relationship with Stemleaf through out their lives (one of the best ships in ABC)💚💚
Spotfur’s such an interesting character, seeing how the rebellion developed and her apprentice years.
Stemleaf’s death was so much more heart-breaking seeing how in love they were💔😭😭
But the hopeful ending was beautiful 💛
Blackstar’s Reckoning was very interesting!❤️ I was always very skeptical of Blackstar because of his past actions, but I found him intriguing. But reading his POV, and seeing how Brokenstar & Tigerstar’s manipulation molded him, really made me actually understand his character.
His nine lives ceremony, the memories, hearing Blackstar’s thoughts and feelings, and finding out about his father; everything about this novella was very complex and interesting! 11/10⚡️

Hi Kate, do you know if there will be a new novella set coming next April and who it will be about? The new main series book has been announced quite a while ago but I have seen nothing about new novellas. I really love these short stories about different minor characters and hope there will be a new set!
I’m glad you love our novellas. ❤️ But I’m afraid I leave them to the other Erins and never know what they are about until they are published! love surprises 🙂

Hi Kate! Is there any news about upcoming books? Like a graphic novel or new novellas?
And what do you think about a novella about Birdflight, from Cloudstar’s Journey? She had to live with a totally new Clan and I think it would be hard for her to see her origin Clan fade away from cats their minds, while she probably still resents them a bit for doing nothing. I think it would be a very interesting story! Birdflight’s Fade, is a possible name, because she feels like she fades a bit, when SkyClan fades a bit too, or something like that haha. And during the story she just slowly learns to accept that maybe it was for the best that cats forget her Clan.
Silverhawk and Snowtuft should also get their origin stories, because there are so many posibilities! Silverhawk’s Talons and Snowtuft’s Scars would be cool titles. What do you think?
And how is writing 8.2 going? Do you like the storyline and the characters?
No news yet but I’m hoping something is being planned! I love seeing where Warriors will go next.

If Blizzardwing was already mates with Featherstorm when he took Hollyflower as his second mate, then why was he unfaithful to Featherstorm?
Hey Kate, I’ve noticed that Liazardstirpe lives long enough in Blackfoot’s reckoning to participate in the abduction of ThunderClan’s kits. Was that an intentional retcon? B/c you see, she dies in YS prior to the ThunderClan raid.
If Toadskip is Clawface and Nightstar’s father, then who was there mother?
