[Sol stands illuminated against the eclipse in the sky]

The Worst Thing about Warriors by Night-tail

Night-tail shares what they think is the worst idea in Warriors. Do you agree?

Hi, I’m Night-tail. This is my first article on Blogclan, so please take it easy on me. I’m going to talk about the worst thing about warrior cats. (in my opinion so please don’t scream at me for it!)

Here’s the worst thing about warrior cats. Wait for it wait for it… is it Bumblestripe? Is it the Appledusk is evil controversy? Is it Ashfur? Is it Bramblestar? Is it all the Tigerstar clones? Is it the fact Thunderclan is like, the center of attention? Is it the moon blocking the sun? The last one, yes.

Why? To be clear, that is when Sol predicts a solar eclipse (because Midnight the badger told him) and it happens, leaving the clans in darkness in the middle of the day, while they’re fighting. So, what is so wrong about it? Well, they used up the only chance to use it in future arcs. And, they used it on a small villian, who may have been cunning and genius level intelligence, he never got that high into the books. He was there, and then we forgot about him.

If they tried making another solar eclipse, it wouldn’t be accurate in real life. Sorry, I really like accuracy. It takes a very long time for a solar eclipse to happen again in the same spot. VERY LONG. Very long even for us! Imagine how long it would be for Warriors! UGH I can’t use it in my fan fiction or I’d feel guilty. It doesn’t make sense to be worried for accuracy in Warriors, but I just am like that.

Sol does not get enough attention. They used up a solar eclipse for him. ARGH!!! A solar eclipse is a big deal! Maybe I need to calm down about it, but it’s kind of sad. I really wish I could just accept the fact that it’s warriors and nothing is impossible but I physically cannot.

I’ve never actually seen a full eclipse like that before. So I feel like those cats are extremely lucky!!!

So, that was my first article. I hope you enjoy it!

  • I feel like since Warrior Cats skips a lot of time between things, it is possible for them to use it again, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be realistic either, but even then, it would still be reusing an idea instead of making a new one, so having it happen again still wouldn’t be as interesting.

However, the other thing is that Sol could’ve been a really good villain if he had done more and been more useful as a villain and been more dangerous, so maybe it’s more of a problem that they didn’t use Sol to his full potential than it is that they used the eclipse, which probably would’ve ended up being more satisfying if Sol was a better villain.

    Those are my thoughts.

  • in my opinion its sort of poetic how sol has a SOLar eclipse, but i agree they did use up the chance of a solar eclipse, unless they move again, really, really, really, far away somehow

  • “I’ve never actually seen a full eclipse like that before. So I feel like those cats are extremely lucky!!!” Actually, they’re not, because solar eclipses can sometimes permanently blind you.

  • It’s because the sun’s actual name is the “Sol”, but people still call it the sun even though “Sol” is the official name of the sun

  • I agree, the whole solar eclipse wasn’t as climatic as it could have been. But here’s two small ideas: Lunar eclipse? (c’mon a blood-colored mood is sure to be ominous) Arora Borealis? (Hopefully the lake is near the right latitudes cause that’d like… super awesome starclan rivers in the sky)

  • Buuuuuuuuut . . .
Sol said that he’d come back. Maybe something big will happen?? I’m just hoping . . . cuz I’m bored in quarantine and rereading a bunch of books 😛

  • I HAVE A GREAT IDEAAAA!!! *But many might think this will not be good cuz my ideas are super random okiee??*
    OkAYeeE.
    So.
My idea is a BLOOD MOON when the moon is once supposed to be a full moon, but instead is bRIgHt RED and casts a bloody red glow over the world!! And the Blood Moon phase can also be the night when most evilsy beinggss go super crazy!
Please answer, what do you think?

    Any other ideas?

    • Nice work! Sol is my third least fav cat, after first Scourge and then Tigerstar, so I can’t simpathize for him. I can’t simpathize for Hawkfrost either, because he’s my fourth.

  • Pretty sure it’s the fact that one, Shadowclan almost {and did once}, died four times. Tigerheart’s Shadow at the beginning shows how little cats there are and how some of those cats tried to go to Skyclan. And when Darktail came, more than half of Shadowclan joined him. So Shadowclan’s a bunch of traitors.
Two, Thunderclan IS the center of attention. It was Thunderclan who had the three, kin of kin, prophecy. Thunderclan who saved the clans from the beavers. Thunderclan who ran to save Riverclan from that fire {Though Windclan helped}, and Thunderclan who first got the belly sickness. Thunderclan who noticed the Dark Forest was rising. Actually, Thunderclan got all the prophecies except the one about the need to move to the lake one in the second series{I believe}. As far as I know, anyways. I’m on the last book of the 5th series.
Three, about the Sol thing, yeah he was definately a minor villain. But with all of the warrior cats generations between Omen of The Stars and Dawn of The Clans, wouldn’t they have seen one before that? It should have happened before while the clan/tribes existed, so why didn’t it get recorded. Become an elder’s tale?
    That’s all for now. Cya.
