Silverfrost sorts some characters from the series into the Hogwarts houses from the Harry Potter series. What house are you in?
Hello, everybody! I know we’ve all been going through a difficult and boring time with the coronavirus and quarantine, so I thought I’d do a more fun article today! I’m sure you all have heard of the four Hogwarts houses. Gryffindor, the brave and chivalrous, Hufflepuff, the hard-working and loyal, Ravenclaw, the wise and intelligent, and Slytherin, the cunning and ambitious. I thought that today I would do an impromptu little sorting ceremony for our very own Warrior Cats!
The Sorting Hat Song:
“Oh you may not think I’m pretty,
But don’t judge on what you see,
I’ll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I’m the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There’s nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can’t see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you’ve a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You’ll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don’t be afraid!
And don’t get in a flap!
You’re in safe hands (though I have none)
For I’m a Thinking Cap!”

1. Firestar
Firestar is rather hard to sort, because he’s brave, loyal, intelligent, and ambitious all at once! However, I do think Firestar would be best sorted into Gryffindor. His bravery and determination are outstanding, and he’s willing to do anything for his clan. Like when he and Sandstorm were on a journey to find SkyClan he tried so hard to find some trace of the long-lost clan, and didn’t stop until he did. During the Great Battle, he jumped in to fight, even though he was on his last life and Sandstorm begged him not to. He ended up sacrificing himself for his clan, and that is what true bravery is.
2. Bluestar
Bluestar is also difficult to sort, because she has two traits that come from two different houses, but she would be best placed in Ravenclaw. Although Bluestar is courageous, her wisdom and intelligence are what make her special. Many cats confided in her when she was alive, and when she went to StarClan, she gave a lot of wise advice to leaders who came after her. Bluestar was always very curious, and she never stopped learning.
3. Spottedleaf
When you think of Spottedleaf you automatically think of this House. Hufflepuff. Spottedleaf was a kind, loyal, hard-working medicine cat who was loved by everyone throughout the clans. She was kind, generous and put helping others over everything else. Spottedleaf didn’t betray the medicine cat code, even when she began to fall in love with Fireheart. Those are the qualities you see in a Hufflepuff.
4. Sandstorm
This feisty ginger she-cat can only go one place. Gryffindor. Like her mate, Sandstorm’s bravery is one of her most visible traits. She showed incredible courage when they fought against Tigerclaw and his dogs, and during the Great Battle. She didn’t hesitate to try to save Spottedleaf when Mapleshade attacked her, even thought Sandstorm had always been jealous of her.
5. Tigerclaw/Tigerstar
Tigerstar is a tried and true Slytherin. He was always very ambitious and cunning, and he used any means to achieve his goals. For example, he murdered Redtail in hope to become deputy after him. He also tried to get the dogs to kill Bluestar, and after he was killed by Scourge, he still attempted to create an army in the Dark Forest to take over the clans.
6. Graystripe
Ah, fun and peppy Graystripe. He is a little difficult to sort, but I’m going to go with Hufflepuff. Although Graystripe is brave and determined, he’s fair, loyal, and not afraid to do anything for his clanmates, no matter how hard. He was always extremely loyal to Fireheart, even during his most difficult times. When Graystripe fell in love with Silverstream, he never gave up on her, even though they were from different clans.
7. Brambleclaw
Brambleclaw is fairly easy to sort. Gryffindor. He cared so much for all of his clanmates, and he would do anything for them. He also supported Squirrelflight through her decisions, until she betrayed his trust and hurt him. Even then, he still cared for her, even if he was angry or upset with her, which is what a true Gryffindor does.
8. Squirrelflight
Last but not least, we have this energetic and determined she-cat. One thing I’ve noticed throughout the series, once Squirrelflight has made up her mind, nothing could change it. That is a marking of a Gryffindor. Squirrelflight showed bravery in lying to her mate and her clan for her sister, even if it wasn’t the best decision. She was determined to help the Sisters, even when the entire clan and Bramblestar was against her. When some of the other clans rebelled against the Sister, and the cave that Moonlight was in started collapsing, Squirrelflight didn’t hesitate to risk her life and get Moonlight and her newborn kits out.
I think that when you try to sort Warriors characters into Harry Potter Houses, you really start to think about the characters in both series more deeply. You have to dive into the depths of their personalities to find similarities and differences between them, and try to relate those similarities and differences to the four Houses. I learned a lot more about these characters while writing this, and I had fun doing it too! What House do you guys think you’d be in? Or do you already have a House? Stay safe during these hard times, and we’ll get through it together.
Hufflepuff.
