Cats that do and dont deserve to go to the dark forest by Sunmist

Sunmist takes a look at some cats from the series and whether they have a spot in the Dark Forest reserved just for them.

hey guys! sunmist here 🙂 today I will be discussing cats that should have went to the dark forest. i will also be defending some cats who UNDER POPULAR OPINION are said that they should go to the dark forest. this is my first article so I hope you enjoy it!
!*SPOILER ALERT*! (there are lots of spoilers and btw I have read till the fourth book of omen of the stars)

Ashfur

I used to be one of those people who argued that Ashfur should’ve gone to the place of no stars aka the dark forest, but now, looking back, his only mistake was loving too much. (also he might’ve gone a little crazy at the end xD) technically, what did ashfur REALLY do? I shall now list all his mistakes;
-he had clingy problems
when Squirrelflight chose brambleclaw as his mate, we all can understand ashfurs trauma, but squirrelflight liked him as a FRIEND and it must hurt to be put in the friend zone. ashfur was just salty cuz he wanted to be squirrelflights mate! tbh i would have really liked to see the two as friends
-he went a little cray-cray (yes i just said cray-cray)
when the fire happened at camp and everyone was evacuating, ashfur trapped squirrelflight and her kits. he wanted her to feel the same pain he felt when he was rejected, so he wanted to hurt her kits. when squirrelflight said “you can’t hurt me because they’re not even my kits” (or something like that idrk) she was obviously lying. she loved those three kits (hollyleaf, lionblaze, jayfeather) just as if they were her own.
so all ashfur did was love too much. he never did anything SO evil that he deserved to go to that dark forest. he might have done some evil stuff but hollyleaf killed him before he could do anything. technically, ashfur did no harm.

rainflower
ok so this is one cat that definitely deserves to go to the dark forest. she used to be a pretty loving mother till her sons jaw looked…different. at the beginning of the book crookedstars promise, she was always praising her sons, crookedkit and oakkit, of how handsome they were. when crookedkit got injured, and he twisted his jaw, rainflower basically rejected him. when he was still recovering in the nursery, by the time his brother, oakkit became and apprentice, she went back to the warriors den. she called him ugly (not to his face but crookedkit overheard his mother saying that to his father) and was a horrible mother. rainflower deserves so go to the darkforest for isolating and verbally abusing her son. before cats started to train other cats to be murderers for the great battle, it used to be an endless place with no prey. maybe rainflower would be sorry when she is surrounded by all her thoughts! who knows? i mean, rainflower was pretty nice before crookedkits injury. BUT SHE DIDNT EVEN COME TO HER SONS LEADERSHIP CEREMONY :0

ok so first of all… HE CHEATED ON MAPLESHADE WITH REEDSHINE LIKE NOT COOL HE SHOWED SO MUCH LOVE FOR MAPLESHADE AND THEN BETRAYED HER AND TOLD HIS WHOLE CLAN THAT HE NEVER LOVED HER OR HER KITS IN FRONT OF THEIR DEAD BODIES…. AAAAAND HE BLAMED MAPLESHADE FOR BEING KICKED OUT AND HER KITS DROWNING LIKE WHAT?! ok I’m so sorry but I cant go on discussing this piece of crowfood calmly. but you get my point hehe.

these two are leaders and they don’t necessarily deserve to go to the dark forest but ima just list all the evil things they did so you guys can decide :] oakstar-
so he drove my baby mapleshade out >:( but even worse, he drove her poor little kits out even though they did nothing. i understand that he was birchface’s(the supposed mate of mapleshade) father and he was sad that his son didn’t live on in these kits, but seriously, WHY DRIVE THEM OUT?!

imagine this–
you are the leader of riverclan. you find a thunderclan she cat and your warriors holding three dead kits. you then find out that a warrior of yours has mated with this thunderclsan she cat. he says “I never loved her or these kits I am loyal” so you forgive him CUZ HE SAYS HE IS LOYAL BUT STILL HAD KITS and bury the three poor kits in the mud and tell this grieving she cat who just lost her kits and never even had a vigil TO GO AWAY >:(
