Blurb:

When fear reigns supreme, only hope can save the Clans.

The impostor’s reign of terror has brought the Clans to the brink of destruction, and now, every warrior—living and dead—must unite to defeat him before he delivers his final blow. To ensure their future and protect their past, StarClan, the Dark Forest, and all five Clans must band together to turn back the tide of darkness—before the impostor’s fury destroys them all.

  • Rootspring has to stay alive! Bristlefrost and shadowisght should go and help him fight. I really hope they don’t kill one of the main POV’s especially not when that POV character has to be alive because he’s very important and he has to get a chance to see bristlefrost again. Kate if u see this comment please do not kill rootspring that’s just not going to end well-

    • I don’t think Bristlefrost and Shadowsight should help him fight, for three reasons.
      1) Shadowsight is absolutely useless in a fight, and what’s more, he’s wounded.
      2) Bristlefrost and Rootspring are both good warriors- far from incompetent-but there’s no way they’d be able to fight off so many spirit cats plus Ashfur, and keep Shadowsight safe.
      3) Even if they could do that, they’d return to their Clans seriously wounded- leaving them out of commission for the rest of the book.

Hi Kate! Sorry to add to the thousands of questions from fans, but I was wondering:
Are we ever going to get a book about Rock? We know, like, nothing about him, and he’s been in the series since Power of Three, I believe. (I may be wrong I read PoW, like, 3 years ago).
How much longer do you think you and the other Erins will be writing Warriors? (I just want to be ready so I don’t burst out in tears when we eventually find out the series is ending hahaha)

  • Hi Kate! Do Flamepaw, Finchpaw, Baypaw, and Myrtlepaw have warrior names chosen for them and if so are you allowed to say what they are?

  • Any of you think Bramblestar will let Rootspring cross the boarder to see Bristlefrost after the whole ghost thing is settled? Because Rootspring had saved his life and brought him back. Both don’t want to leave their clan but if Bramblestar allows them to meet up like every half moon, maybe they could be together? As long as they’re ok with long distance relationship.

    • That would make sense because I can’t see either of them leaving their Clans for the sake of the relationship. I mean, just think about it, if Bristlefrost left ThunderClan then her Clan would be losing a warrior that they really need in this time. She would also be leaving behind Spotfur and her kits. If Rootspring left SkyClan then his Clan would be losing a connection to the spirits and ghosts. They might also be losing a to-be-mediator that could be Tree’s successor, and he would be leaving behind Tree and the rest of his family that he has always been so close to. So yeah, I could totally see the future ThunderClan leader doing that for them, especially if it ends up to be Bristlefrost’s mother, Ivypool 😉

    • I don’t think that will work. There are some basic logistical issues with cross-clan relationships- obviously loyalty, who gets to keep the kits, how often they can meet, etc. And even if both cats promise to remain loyal to their clans and you work out an agreement regarding the kits- promises can be broken. How could you be sure of a cat’s loyalty? Or their kits’? Even if they’re sure of one thing now it doesn’t mean they will in the future.

  • The broken code has been my favourite arc so far. I love its writing and story a lot!
Great job Erin hunter writing team
    Thanks for creating Flipclaw

  • Ajhfhwhwrfhw! Just finished “A Place of No Stars”, and I’m freaking out! SUCH A GREAT BOOK! I can’t wait for “A Light in the Mist” to come out! I really hope Rootspring is, well, alive!! Also, I want RootxBristle to happen so bad! 😭😭😭😭 And it’s gonna be the last book in the series, so hopefully all the loose ends will be tied up! But then I’m gonna be waiting for the next series, WHICH BY THE WAY, I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT!!!!! 😆😆😆😆

  • Some of my predictions?

    1. Ashfur will be defeated (Duh)
    2. Rootspring will be forced to kill Snowtuft.
    3. Snowtuft will die or fade honorably, and if he doesn’t he will go to StarClan.
    4. Bristlefrost and Shadowsight will attack Ashfur and free the spirit cats.
    5. Willowshine, Stemleaf, and others who died will go to StarClan.
    6. After the three POVs free StarClan, StarClan will fight Ashfur and defeat him.
    7. Mistystar will die.
    8. RootxBristle *loving sigh from Nightpaw*
    9. Ashfur will either apologize or die.

    • 1. I agree-this arc would be so sad and pointless if Ashfur won (although it would be a great setup for arc 8)
      2. Yeah, it doesn’t seem likely that the both of them will make it out alive
      3. No comment.
      4. I don’t agree- it seems impossible for them to kill Ashfur before they died themselves, and if Ashfur died in the beginning of the book that would be…very dissapointing. If he died in the end, though…
      5. I agree- they probably will, if they don’t die.
      6. I think the lake clans and the Dark Forest will have to help out, because it said so on the blurb
      7. Yeah, she’s definitely been alive for too long, and Reedstar’s new leadership would be an interesting plot for arc 8, should there be a RiverClan POV.
      8. I really hope not-all these forbidden romances are too repetitive by now and I think it would be better for the plot if they stayed in their Clans.
      9. See 1.
