Ships and mates in “The Prophesies Begin” by Briarblaze

Briarblaze talks about the ships from the first arc. Which of these are your favourites?

So, obviously if you clicked on this, you’re probably interested in knowing different ships and mates from the Warriors arc “The Prophesies Begin”. Well, there are some that are good and logical ships and mate pairings, as well as the not so good ones. I’ll be listing them in the order of worst to best ships (in my opinion) and explaining why.

Number 5: Goldenflower and Tigerstar

Yes, these two ARE mates. The reason why I find this pairing is the worst is because, well, he’s evil. How Goldenflower didn’t see Tigerstar’s evil ambition until he decided being deputy wasn’t enough and tried to murder Bluestar, eludes me entirely. Then, later on in book 5, “A Dangerous Path”, Tigerstar ends up literally feeding his own mate to a pack of wild dogs to give them a taste of cat blood soon after Swiftpaw was killed and Brightheart severely injured. And then to top it off, they had two kits, Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt, which is just horrendous to think about as Tigerstar put, not only his birth clan, but his own kin into harm’s way. That wraps it up for Goldenflower and Tigerstar.

Number 4: Spottedleaf and Firestar

Yes, I know, these two are adorable together, but it doesn’t work. Sadly, this ship doesn’t last very long because Spottedleaf dies in a Shadowclan raid in “into the wild”. Although, if she hasn’t had died, it would’ve been very heated for Firestar to move on because she was a medicine cat. Meaning, she couldn’t have a mate. Then in “Firestar’s Quest” , Spottedleaf told Firestar that she would give anything for things to be different, showing that she does actually love him, but it could never happen. That wraps it up for Spottedleaf and Firestar.

Number 3: Ferncloud and Dustpelt

Okay, these two are perfect, BUT there’s a twist to it. So, originally, Dustpelt was Fernpaw’s (now is Ferncloud) mentor. And, Dustpelt was not a warrior very long when these two fell in love while Dustpelt was her mentor.

Number 2: Graystripe and Silverstream

Yep! Graystripe and Silverstream, two clan cats from riverclan and thunderclan. In the end, this was very sad, and stood out to me this much. In book 3 “Forest of Secrets”, Silverstream died kitting to Stormfur and Feathertail. That was how this was very sad, and the only reason it’s high on the list.

Number 1: Firestar and Sandstorm

This was an unlikely relationship, but it happened! Very fun relationship to witness because not only is Sandstorm a tsundere. UNTIL, book 5 “A Dangerous Path”, in which Firestar FINALLY said “I love you”. And, this is number one because not only is this a very fun and unpredicted ship, but I love Sandstorm.

That’s all I can think of for now! If you guys want one for the second arc, say so in the comments!
