Flamepaw gives warrior names for some cats who weren’t able to receive one.
Hey BlogClanners, it’s Flamepaw here! It’s my first article, so I hope you enjoy. In this article I’ll be going through some kits and apprentices who never got there warrior names for one reason or another and I’ll be giving them some I thought of. These names are not canon and I will also be sharing some of the reasons why I think they deserve that name. Warning: this article contains spoilers for Ravenpaw’s Path, TPB, Squirrelflight’s Hope, AVoS, TNP, OotS and Bramblestar’s Storm.
1 – Ravenpaw!
I personally love Ravenpaw, he’s such a sweetheart! Ravenpaw was shy and nervous when we first met him in Into the Wild, but he grew into a cat who was willing to stand up for himself and protect and care for others when they need it most. This shows in The Heart of a Warrior, when Ravenpaw battled the rogues and BloodClan alongside Barley and ThunderClan to reclaim the barn as there home. Ravenpaw’s compassionate side appears when he tried to teach Jumper and Hoot how to hunt, which then turned into Ravenpaw caring for their every need, all the while with Barley recovering mentally from the battle and encounter with BloodClan. Even though Ravenpaw left ThunderClan to become a rogue, he never truly stopped being a warrior, and that’s why by the powers of StarClan I give Ravenpaw his warrior name. I would name him Ravenflight. We saw Ravenpaw as a timid and uncertain apprentice at first, but we have seen him grow and become a courageous and compassionate warrior. In my eyes, Ravenpaw has taken flight!
2. – Swiftpaw!
Ah, who can forget this apprentice. Let’s take a moment of silence to remember his sacrifice….. Swiftpaw was a brave cat, who only ever wanted to prove himself worthy to have a warrior name. He was also determined and I admire him for that. But, he was sick of having his warrior ceremony postponed again and again, so he decided to take action. Swiftpaw is a doer, not a talker, and he can be stubborn sometimes. Swiftpaw fought until his dying breath. He fought for his Clan, for justice and for his warrior name. In the end, Brightheart said he fought like all of LionClan and so by the powers of StarClan, I give Swiftpaw his warrior name. I would name him Swiftstrike. This brave and determined tom would have gone a long way, and I dare say he might even be Clan leader if he had lived. He died as he had lived, fighting for what he thought was right.
3. – Dandelionkit and Juniperkit!
Dandelionkit and Juniperkit are Alderheart and Sparkpelt’s siblings. Dandelionkit seems energetic and brave. This is evident in Squirrelflight’s Hope when Squirrelflight asked if they wanted to go exploring with her while she was in StarClan. Dandelionkit immediately responded with an enthusiastic yes and rushed to Squirrelflight. Juniperkit on the other hand, seems intelligent and patient. In Squirrelflight’s Hope, Juniperkit answers a lot of Squirrelflight’s questions in StarClan, a lot of which were about kits hunting. Juniperkit never seemed to get annoyed with Squirrelflight’s endless river of questions and to me, Dandelionkit and Juniperkit remind me of Squirrelflight and Leafpool. So, by the powers of StarClan, I give Dandelionkit and Juniperkit their warrior names. Dandelionkit would get the name Dandelionleap and Juniperkit would get the name Juniperleaf. What warms my heart though, is the fact that both of these kits share a similar trait and that is the same loving heart for their mother, Squirrelflight.
4. – Shrewpaw!
Shrewpaw was not mentioned much during the series, but we do know that this apprentice is Dustpelt and Ferncloud’s kit. Shrewpaw seems to care for Squirrelpaw and his Clan a lot. This shows in Dawn, when he lets Squirrelpaw sleep in after she tells him about her strange dream. Squirrelpaw gets mad at Shrewpaw for letting her sleep in, but after that she apologises to him, showing that she cares about him as a friend too. Whitepaw is also a very close friend to Shrewpaw. Whitepaw is seen play-fighting with Shrewpaw and she also said that she will sit vigil for Shrewpaw after his death. Shrewpaw dies when he got hit by a Twoleg monster while trying to catch a pheasant that would have fed half of ThunderClan, which is a noble thing to be known for. By the powers of StarClan, I give Shrewpaw his warrior name. I would name him Shrewpounce. If Shrewpaw had caught that bird, ThunderClan wouldn’t have been so hungry and maybe, there could’ve been less deaths as well.
5. – Seedpaw!
Seedpaw is Sorreltail and Brackenfur’s kit and Lilyheart is her sister. Seedpaw and Lilypaw looked like they had that good, wholesome and normal sibling relationship: they would quarrel and make up again, and they were also shown to be competitive as well as getting in trouble together too. Seedpaw is also shown to be a lively and energetic apprentice and ready to help out. In Bramblestar’s Storm, Dustpelt and Bramblestar are trying to find some use in the fallen dirt pile when Seedpaw and Lilypaw rush up and ask them where the sister’s mentors were. Bramblestar tells them where they were and then Seedpaw wonders if they can help out. The two curiously sniff the stick Dustpelt has and Lilypaw declares that they will find some more. After the pair rush off again, Bramblestar goes to look for them and hears Lilypaw yelling for help. Seedpaw saves Lilypaw, who was trapped on some ivy, but drowns in the process, much to Lilypaw and Bramblestar’s dismay. Seedpaw was not only energetic, but she was selfless, brave and kind as well and so by the powers of StarClan, I give Seedpaw her warrior name. I would name her Seedheart. Even though Seedpaw never became a full warrior of ThunderClan, she would’ve made a kind, caring and respected warrior of the Clans.
So, there you have it folks! I hope you enjoyed this article and I really hope I can write some more in the future. Have a wonderful day/night! Flamepaw, OUT!
