Analyzing ThunderClan Family Trees by Cinderpaw

Cinderpaw takes a look at some of the family trees in ThunderClan.

Hi, this is Cinderpaw(breeze) with my first article!

Today I’ll be talking about family trees, and I’ll be using the official website one as a resource. Warning: minor family tree spoilers, possible warrior name/leadership position spoilers, and a MAJOR spoiler for PoT. Anyway, let’s start the article.

I’m going to start with something random: Ivypool and Fernsong. When I read that they were mates, I thought, “Wait… Aren’t they related?” Here’s my reasoning. The prophecy states that the Three are related to Firestar. Ivypool is the sister of Dovewing, who is one of the Three. Fernsong is the son of Lionblaze, who is one of the Three. Here is a more in-depth explanation for you all:

Ivypool, daughter of Whitewing, who is daughter of Cloudtail, who is son of Princess, sister to Firestar, father to Leafpool, mother to Lionblaze, father to Fernsong. So Ivypool and Fernsong are third cousins. Compared to other relationships in Warriors, that’s actually not bad.

Back to the main focus of this article: the ThunderClan family tree. Let’s start at Swiftbreeze and Adderfang, because they are related to very many cats. So we have Swiftbreeze and Adderfang, who have Leopardfoot, Patchpelt, Redtail, Willowpelt, and Spottedleaf.

Let’s start with Leopardfoot. She had Mistkit, Nightkit, and Tigerstar 1. Tigerstar 1 had Tadpole, Mothwing, Hawkfrost, Tawnypelt, and Bramblestar. Tawnypelt had Tigerstar 2, Flametail, and Dawnpelt. Dawnpelt has Juniperclaw, Strikestone, and Sleekwhisker. Tigerstar 2 has Shadowsight, Lightleap, and Pouncestep. Bramblestar has Juniperkit, Dandelionkit, Alderheart and Sparkpelt. Sparkpelt has Flamepaw, Finchpaw, and Flickerkit. That’s the end of that- and that was just Leopardfoot!

Patchpelt had Swiftpaw and Lynxkit. Hey, that wasn’t that hard!

Let’s move on to Redtail. Wait a moment- Tigerclaw killed his own uncle! Anyway, that’s not the point. Apparently (although this is not shown on the family tree, Vicky said it’s true, so it’s true), Redtail is Sandstorm’s father. Oh no – I’m going to have to do the entire Firestar family tree. Why, StarClan? *groans* Anyway, Sandstorm’s daughters are Squirrelflight and Leafpool. Leafpool has Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf. I am not going to repeat Squirrelflight’s descendants. Lionblaze had Spotfur, Hollytuft, Sorrelstripe, Fernsong, Flywhisker, and Snaptooth. Sorrelstripe has Baypaw and Myrtlepaw. Fernsong has Bristlefrost, Flipclaw, and Thriftear. Thank StarClan that’s over. On to Willowpelt!

Willowpelt had Darkstripe (aka Dorkstripe), Graystripe, Sorreltail, Sootfur, and Rainwhisker. Sorreltail had Honeyfern, Molepaw, Poppyfrost, and Cinderheart. Poppyfrost had Molewhisker and Cherryfall. I am not going to repeat Cinderheart’s descendants. Graystripe had Briarlight, Bumblestripe, and Blossomfall (the three of which I call the Powerpuff Cats) with Millie, and Feathertail and Stormfur with Silverstream. Blossomfall had Eaglewing, Plumstone, Shellfur, and Stemleaf. Stormfur had Pine, Lark, Feather, and Breeze.

We go to Spottedleaf and hit a brick wall. She is a medicine cat, so she can’t have a mate or kits.

Now I’m done. Thank StarClan I didn’t have to do in-laws, because this article would have included every cat in every Clan! Anyway, that’s all for now!
