BlogClanner in the Spotlight: Viperfrost

Hi everybody! I hope your 2021 is going well. Today I’ll be sharing the second edition of BITS this year, with none other than the wonderful Viperfrost! Viper is one our mods here at BlogClan, and anybody who knows her will have already experienced her dedication, professionalism, and wisdom. Without further ado, here is our interview!

Q: What was the inspiration for your name?

A: I wish I had a spicy reason for this one, but mainly because it sounded cool! As a 13-year-old, I wanted to sound cool. I actually went by the name “Bloodwhisper” for three days before eventually coming up with a name only 20% less edgy. The suffix -frost was chosen after my favorite minor character at the time, Hawkfrost! He’s still one of my favorite minor characters. If I were to pick a name at this stage in life, I would go with Wolfsurge. :3

Q: For those who might be reading this but haven’t officially joined the Blog yet, give them a few reasons why they should enter our family. What makes BlogClan the right place for them?

A: My top reason would definitely be the community. Of all the things you can do on the Blog, talking to other people is the most rewarding. BlogClan has a sense of community, acceptance, and trust that I have seen very rarely elsewhere. I can always rely on BlogClan for friendship and to be the bright spot in a dark day. Beyond that, there’s always lots of games and fun to be had on BlogClan! (psst the Rotation is my favorite ;D) The creative element of sharing writing and art is also very fun, and I’ve always felt encouraged to become better by the community.

Q: Would you rather act in a Hollywood movie or perform in a musical on Broadway? 🎬🎼

A: Definitelyyy a Hollywood movie! I have one heck of a case of stage fright, unfortunately, so I’d likely freeze on Broadway. :0 Working on a Hollywood movie sounds quite fun; you get to slip into a role and practice over and over, take after take, to make sure it looks the best it can be. You also get to act all high and mighty and have people bring you sandwiches, I think; I’m not sure if that’s true, but I do know I love sandwiches! >:D Winter Edit: Yes! Sandwiches! Hopefully.

Q: Favourites! Month, time of day, eye colour, hobby, and mode of transportation.

A: Month: Definitely November! I’m biased, I know, but what other month than the month of my birthday could fit? ;D
Time of Day: Night! I’m a night owl, and I don’t usually feel energetic until at least 9pm.
Eye Colour: Green! I love green eyes.
Hobby: It’s a tough call between writing and drawing, but I’ll have to go with drawing! It’s so fun to have a hobby that’s always available. With digital art, the possibilities are endless. Not limited by resources or money; just the patience and dedication of practicing the craft. Even with the most basic of traditional pen-to-paper drawing, the strokes of the pen relieve stress. C:
Mode of Transportation: Riding in a car! I’m afraid of heights and flying, so planes are out. I don’t like long rides, so trains, begone! My least favorite mode of transportation is buses; I can’t fall asleep on them and it always feels like there’s too many people. Winter Edit: Mine are April, Night, Light Brown/Hazel-y, Reading, and Airplanes.

Q: As a moderator on the Blog, what is your favourite role or duty?

A: That’s a hard one, but I’d have to say overseeing Senior Warrior campaigns. The world can be a hard place. It’s just so nice to see that in an area where people can say whatever they want, they write the most moving and genuine vouches. It’s good to know that there’s still kindness in the world. It’s also fun to keep lists and dates for both the campaigns and the Allegiances!

Q: What are your aspirations in life, if you don’t mind sharing? What is one thing you want to see in the world 20 years from now?

A: My main aspiration is to leave the world a little better than it was when I entered. For my career, I’ll be pursuing something in the STEM field! I also aspire to make enough money to feed all the animals I’ll be adopting. Hmmmm…a lot of goals would surely take longer than 20 years. One thing I’d want to see in the world within that timeframe would be some kind of setup that enabled the homeless to have easy access to good food. Food banks can be a tricky process; people can wait in line in the early morning for hours just to find out that they weren’t there quick enough to get more than the barest essentials. A better system for it would be monumental in helping people to survive on the streets. Winter Edit: Wow. That is a really thoughtful and articulate answer. I hope the world makes those changes!

Q: And finally, if you went on an trip to Antarctica and got stuck in a research facility for a few months, which three BlogClanners do you want by your side? ❄️

A: Hmmmmmm this is definitely a tough one! Preferably I would take everyone with me to overwhelm the guards, but if we were going for stealth…I’d say…Emberdawn, Mapledrift, andddd Goldenfawn! Embix would be able to convince the facility staff that we were there for legitimate purposes with her deputy aura. Mapledrift could pick the locks to various doors or manipulate the key cards so that we could gain access to important locations. Goldi would be able to fit in the vents and sneak around to disable targets. All would be useful for our heist. Whoops, did I say heist? I meant lost. We’re stuck in the facility, that’s all! 😊
