Hawkfrost: An Analysis and My Opinion by Falconwing

Falconwing shares their opinion on Hawkfrost.

Hawkfrost is considered one of the most evil cats in Warriors. But I actually like him. There are three main reasons that Hawkfrost is evil:

1) Riverclan didn’t trust him and Mothwing.
Most of the cats in Riverclan distrusted Hawkfrost and Mothwing, just because they were born rogues. When they learned they were Tigerstar’s kits, they disliked them even more. Though they grew to trust Mothwing and Hawkfrost, Riverclan is still partly to blame for Hawkfrost becoming evil.

2) Sasha left them.
Though I understand why she left Riverclan, I think that she should have stayed until Hawkfrost and Mothwing were apprentices. This led to Hawkfrost wanted to make one parent proud of him.

3) Tigerstar’s influence.
You saw this coming! Ever since he was young, Hawkfrost was ambitious. But Tigerstar made him power-hungry. Ambitious means that you want to get things done-you have lots of goals. But power-hungry means that you care about power more than almost anything. As I said earlier, Hawkfrost wanted to make one parent proud of him. This is probably why he took Tigerstar’s words so seriously.

Hawkfrost is an interesting character, and I think it would be great if we saw a super edition about him. He actually has a background story, but in The New Prophecy, he’s just depicted as arrogant and power-hungry.

Now, Hawkfrost has done some awful things. He:
Manipulated Mothwing, and caused her to lose faith.
Tried to kill Firestar, Brambleclaw, and Ivypool.
Killed Hollyleaf.
Trained cats in the Dark Forest.

However, all of these things are Tigerstar’s fault. Just like it’s Thistleclaw’s fault that Tigerstar’s evil- but I’ll have another article about that!

I don’t think that Hawkfrost should have gone to the Dark Forest, when Ashfur went to Starclan. Ashfur tried to kill 5 cats, Hawkfrost tried to kill one. Still, that’s pretty terrible.

In conclusion, Hawkfrost did many bad things, and he chose to follow Tigerstar. But he’s one of my favorite characters, because he’s really interesting. Unlike most villains, he’s not in Shadowclan. The only other Riverclan villains that I recall are Appledusk and maybe Rainflower-and they aren’t really considered villains. I hope you enjoyed the article! 😀
