Analyzing the Protagonists Related to Firestar by Moonshadow

Moonshadow takes a look at the protagonists of the series and their relationships with Firestar.

I was thinking about characters, mainly the protagonists, when I realized something. Almost all of the protagonists in the 7 arcs are related to Firestar. There are only 8 who aren’t. So, I decided to make a post showing how each warriors protagonist is related to Firestar. Please note that these are only the protagonists in the main arcs, not the super editions.
Firestar. This one is easy. Firestar is the only protagonist in the main series. How is he related to Firestar? Well, he is Firestar, so there we go.
Brambleclaw. In The New Prophecy, Brambleclaw is one of the protagonists. He isn’t technically related to Firestar, but his mate is Firestar’s daughter, So I still think it counts. Squirrelflight is another protagonist in The New Prophecy, and this one is easy. She is Firestar’s daughter. Leafpool is, too. I just covered two cats in two sentences! Now for Stormfur and Feathertail. Believe it or not, they are two of the six protagonists who aren’t related to Firestar! Their parents are Graystripe and Silverstream, who’s warrior families go back a long time.
Time for Power of Three! This will be the second-shortest paragraph. Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf are all Crowfeather and Leafpool’s kits. And guess what? Leafpool is Firestar’s daughter! So, they are all Firestar’s grandchildren!
Now we’re going to get into some actual interesting things. In Omen of the Stars, two of the protagonists are Jayfeather and Lionblaze. I already told you about them, so that’s all done. Now, for Dovewing and Ivypool. Firestar’s sister is Princess. Princess’s son is Cloudtail. Cloudtail’s daughter is Whitewing. Whitewing’s daughters are Dovewing and Ivypool.
In Dawn of the Clans, nobody is related to Firestar. Firestar didn’t exist yet. That adds three cats to the no-no list: Gray Wing, Clear Sky, and Thunder. Now, we should have three more mystery cats . . .
A Vision of Shadows is very easy. Alderheart is the son of Squirrelflight, the daughter of Firestar. Twigbranch and Violetshine are two cats who aren’t related to Firestar (that makes seven, if you’re counting.) Now, for the last bit.
The Broken Code is the only arc where all the protagonists aren’t directly related to each other. I know that Bristlefrost and Shadowsight are cousins, but they aren’t directly related to each other. And so, that is why this is the longest paragraph. Bristlefrost is a very complicated cat when it comes to Firestar’s family. She is the daughter of Ivypool. The daughter of Whitewing. The daughter of Cloudtail. The son of Princess. The sister of Firestar. This means that Bristlefrost is Firestar’s great-great-great niece. But, she is also Fernsong’s daughter. Fernsong is Lionblaze’s son, and Lionblaze is Leafpool’s son. So Bristlefrost is actually also Firestar’s great-great-granddaughter. Now, Shadowsight is her cousin, and has Dovewing as a mother. So he is Firestar’s great-great-great nephew. And now, for the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Rootspring. Violetshine is not related to Firestar. And there is no way that Tree is. Which means . . . Rootspring is the very special cat! Cat number eight! He isn’t related to Firestar!
That concludes my post. Stormfur, Feathertail, Gray Wing, Clear Sky, Thunder, Twigbranch, Violetshine, and Rootpaw are the only protagonist cats who aren’t related to Firestar. There are 12 cats who are, bringing us to 20 protagonists. Which means that 60% of the protagonists in warriors are related to Firestar.
Maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe it’s bad. That’s up to you. Anyway, my post is actually ending now!
