My favourite and least favourite cats by Darklily

Darklily lists their facourite and least favourite characters from the series.

There will be some major spoilers in this article. Hello, Darklily here! In this article I will list my top 5 favourite cats, and then my 5 least favourite. This is my first article, so it is probably a bit rusty. Apologies in advance for the errors. They are in no particular order.

My top 5 favourite characters:
1. Crowfeather
I like Crowfeather because I really relate to him. Weirdly. I felt so sorry for him when Feathertail died in Moonrise. He got incredibly unlucky in love, if he was a human he would be brilliant at cards. I honestly hope he lives long enough to become Crowstar.

2. Ashfur
I know what you’re thinking. “Who likes such an evil character!!!” I really do not know why I like him as a character. I tend to like evil characters more than the heroes. Anyway, on with the list.

3. Mapleshade
As I said in the Ashfur section, I really like evil characters. I am in no way defending Mapleshade for her actions. But her poor kits… Mapleshade was not treated well, but was a truly cruel cat. If I was basing it on moral level, she would be on the other list.

4. Hollyleaf
Hollyleaf was a cat who tried her best to be loyal to her clan and the warrior code. Not many cats in the series take it as seriously as her. It was such a shame that she went partly insane towards the end of the PoT arc. At least she had a dignified death in the OotS arc.

5. Bluestar
I wish Bluestar could have at least lived until the second arc. In the first few books she is such a great, calm leader. I recently got Bluestar’s prophecy, and I am glad to read more of the old Bluestar.

My top 5 least favourite characters:
1. Firestar
I personally feel that Firestar left too much of an impact. How can a kittypet with no warrior training beat a warrior in a fight? Not possible, and yet Firestar does it. And two prophecies? I just do not like him.

2. Lionblaze
I think his power is too much. Dovewing and Jayfeather have much more reasonable powers. This power just stops him from being relatable. Also, I doubt I would be able to relate without the power either.

3. Hawkfrost
This could fill an article by itself, but I will sum it up the best I can. Of course he had to be evil, of course. The Mothwing was interesting for a while, but got dropped. Then he got totally ripped off at the end. I think I don’t like him because of plot, rather than his character.

4. Berrynose
Oh gosh, he annoyed me nearly to death. It is not possible to be more full of yourself than he was. Also, he wants kits with Honeyfern, Honeyfern dies, let’s have kits with her sister instead! So logical. Honestly, I hate his character.

5. Spottedleaf
We see her alive for like, hardly any amount of time and Firepaw’s in looove! She is so boringly nice! I was glad when Mapleshade murdered StarClan Spottedleaf. How does that work again?
