Hey there guys, Frosti here! Today, I’m going to go over which sister may be better than the other: Dovewing or Ivypool. FYI I like Ivypool a bit more but as I read through Dovewing defense articles, I started to like Dovewing a bit more until it was completely nuetral. So here I go!!! (BTW, MAJOR spoilers for Oots!!! Also, correct me in the comments if I’m wrong about something!)
Okay, first off, some bad things about both sisters.
Dovewing is sort of whiny, and she was first panicking about her powers. Then, when she lost them, she started to get whiny again. Ever since Dovewing got her powers, she could pretty much do everything better than Ivypool. Ivypool started thinking that Dovewing thought she was better than her, so Ivypool started training in the Dark Forest. Ivypool kept training there with Hawkfrost thinking he was a StarClan warrior, and got better and better at fighting.
Conclusion: Dovewing is whiny and kind of Mary Sue-ish, and Ivypool will work her butt off to be better than Dovewing, which is a bad trait.
Some good things about both sisters.
Ivypool stopped training in the Dark Forest as soon as she figured out that Tigerstar and the other guys just wanted to get revenge on the Clans and stuff. When Jayfeather wanted Ivypool to spy on the Dark Forest, Dovewing was releuctant because she was being a good sister. Ivypool agreed, and she started spying on the Dark Forest. In the Great Battle, Dovewing and Ivypool both fought against the Dark Forest, and were extremely loyal to their Clans during that fight, and not one of them gave up. StarClan and Jayfeather’s Ancients even helped with the fight. The Clans won against the Dark Forest, and most of the dead Dark Forest cats lost their Spirit Lives. Now they were pretty much gone for good.
Conclusion: Both She-cats are loyal and kind, brave and helpful, and will do anything to protect their Clan.
So. Who IS the best sister? The answer is…

I love Ivypool, I always have. Maybe it’s just because I can relate feeling worthless compared to your sibling/s, but I think that Dovewing could have tried a bit harder to understand what Ivypool was going through. But after reading this article, I think Dovewing isn’t so bad…. Ivypool wasn’t exactly a model sister to Dovewing either…. But I do so love cats who have a bad side
I love them both, but if I had to choose it would be Ivypool. She’s hardworking (which may be bad at times but is also a good trait) and she’s brave. I like Dovewing, too, but I feel like she should have made a better effort to understand Ivypool.
(I had no idea your nickname was Frosti… mine is Frosti too… oh well! I guess I’ll have to make a new one.)

Dovewing is the best sister
I personally like Dovewing better out of the two, but that’s just me! You touched on some good points in this article- Good job!!
Ivypool is my favorite character but Dovewing is the best sister to speak fairly
Ivypool 100% is the better Sister, I only sorta liked Dovewing when I was reading OotS but then in AVoS I couldn’t stand her, with Ivypool, I always liked her no matter what side she was on.

I like both of them,but if I had to choose I pick Ivypool
I like Dovewing better. And if you guys read this you might disagree because later on in the books Tigerheart ( ShadowClan’s depty) and Dovewing run off to be together and have kits. Then Dovewing decides to join ShadowClan to stay with her kits and her mate. As much as Dovewing shouldn’t done that I defend her choices.

Dove Wing didn’t do that much. She also didn’t really consider Ivypool’s feelings when she acted. I mean Ivypool risked everything by spying in the Dark Forest, because if she had been discovered she would have been killed, and there would be no chance of surviving. You might say that thats not that impressive, since all warriors risk their life, but they usually can have a chance to survive. Ivypool was also tempted by the Dark Forest cats. She could have ruled all the cat clns with them, but she stayed loyal. Dove wing ran of with TIgerheart, betrayed her clan. I like Ivypool much better
