Hello, I’m going to walk you through my rating of the clan leaders!
*note I will not be including leaders from the prologue of Firestar’s Quest*
Let’s start with RiverClan!
Darkstar: 3/10
I mean, he kind of had a point not letting Mapleshade join RiverClan, but still, not letting anyone help her drowning kits is just cruel!
Volestar: 5/10
We barely know anything about Volestar besides that he is a brown tabby-tom that appears in Goosefeather’s Curse, so i’m just gonna give him an average rating.
Hailstar: 7/10
Once again, we barely know much about him, but let’s be honest, Hailstep is a very cool name, and I know it’s kinda dumb to rate someone after their name, but I’m pulling a blank on what I know about him.
SkyClan time!
Cloudstar: 4/10
He somehow convinced his clan that StarClan hated them or something, That’s just bad faith.
Buzzardstar: 6/10
All we know about him, is that he appears in a dream discussing SkyClan’s origins, like, that’s literally my only information.
Spiderstar: 7/10
He was the one who led the valiant last stand of the original SkyClan against the rats, only to lose. I’m rating him high because of his outstanding courage in the fight.
ShadowClan!!!
Houndstar: 6/10
Pretty cool name, so that’s why he has a good rating, and his only appearance is giving Volestar a snarky comment about ThunderClan in Goosefeather’s Curse.
Cedarstar: 5/10
We only briefly see him in Bluestar’s Prophecy, and a couple other books, so I just gave him an average rating.
Raggedstar: 2/10
He made a HORRIBLE choice making Brokentail(star) deputy. And let’s face it, he only did it because Brokenstar was because Brokenstar was his son.
TtttthunderClan!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oakstar: 0/10
Only cares about his son, and his son’s legacy, along with the appearance of his clan.
Doestar: 4/10
We barely see her so I don’t really know much about her, except the her warrior name (Doefeather) was cool and stupid at the same time. She also had an apprentice named Daisytoe, and that’s all I know! (Accidental rhyme)
Pinestar: 1/10
WHO WOULD THROW AWAY THE LIFE OF AN HONORABLE CLAN LEADER TO BE A KITTYPET!?!?!?!? Enough said, you people probably get my frustration.
Sunstar: 5/10
Sunstar is just your average leader, so I gave him an average rating.
WindClan! Yay!
Heatherstar: 8/10
She made a good choice making Talltail deputy….except that he’s a pacifist….so…yeah.

The only thing I disagree with is, I love Pinestar!!!

I wrote this article before I read Maplehsade’s Vengeance, so I know now Darkstar didn’t refuse to help her kits, she just wouldn’t let Mapleshade stay, so I’d say she’s now a 4/10 instead of 3/10, same with Oakstar, I only heard what happened from ProMaple people, so instead of 0/10, I’d give him a 4/10, ’cause he did have some reason in his decision. I also didn’t know Darkstar was female, hence the he/him pronouns.
Also, Ignore the typo on Raggedstar’s description.
i still think oakstar is better than darkstar, since oakstar was still grieving for his son and was probably an overall good leader. darkstar not letting mapleshade join riverclan is a very reasonable decision, but not letting her sit vigil with her kits for not even a little bit is just cruel. but that’s just my opinion, i guess. maybe darkstar was more harsh toward mapleshade so appledusk wouldn’t get any ideas…
I don’t agree with your rating of Pinestar. He got dreams from StarClan, some his own nightmares simply, about evil Tigerkit, his son, and kittypet life is good in a way. We didn’t see enough of Oakstar to give a zero, too. And Raggedstar was a good leader, I guess, although he’s kind of disgusting. But Cloudstar had a valid reason to believe that.
I wrote this 3 months ago, and I only said what I knew about the characters, I haven’t read Pinestar’s Choice, Yellowfang’s Secret or Cloudstar’s Journey, so I may not know some things that people like you do, as for Oakstar, I said above, I had only heard about him from ProMaple people, who said he was awful, leading me to believe it, my opinion has since changed. Basically, what I’m saying, is that when I wrote this, I was only saying what I knew abut the characters, I haven’t read every warriors novella/super edition so there are things about those leaders I may not know

Cedarstar deserves a higher rating. It goes him, Raggedstar, then the horid Brokenstar. He was the best out of all of them, totally capable of running a clan without any bias.
I haven’t read much about Cedarstar so I put what I knew, that he was just a normal leader.
ThunderClan is my fave clan, but im sad to say I AGREE THEY WERE FRAUDS
What is wrong with being a pacifist? It made him live, like, ten times longer than Onestar.
I would have given Hailstar a 9/10, he’s my 2nd favorite Riverclan leader (after Riverstar)
He just doesn’t have big enough of a part in most of the books, he might be bigger in CP but I haven’t read it yet 😛
You made some pretty good points and I liked this article, but I think that Sunstar is more than an average leader since he still found time to be a father figure to Bluekit/Paw when Stormtail was doing a bad job- Which was just about always, especially after Moonflower died. Sunstar was the one to comfort her after that, though that’s really Stormtail’s job. I also just found him to be an outstanding character but that’s just me and I’m probably a little bias towards Sunstar here if you can’t tell… :]

You made valid points and this was a good article but I have to disagree with Sunstar just being an average leader. He found time to be a father figure to Bluestar around his leadership duties when Stormtail was doing a bad job. (Which is just about always.) And he was the first one to comfort her after Moonflower died, I don’t even remember if Stormtail talked to her about it at all. And it should really be his job. Come to think of it, Sunstar is probably my favorite Thunderclan leader. :] It is possible I could be slightly biased towards Sunstar in this situation. :]
Wait a second sorry we were leaving to go somewhere as I was starting to type the first time and I guess I did post my comment about Sunstar when we got back except then in the morning it seems I forgot I did that since basically the same thing is here twice… Oops! :]
I disagree only with Cloudstar because Cloudstar is one of my favorite leaders.
