My Top Ten Favorite Warriors Characters by Turtlepaw

Turtlepaw lists their favourite Warriors characters!

Hi there! My name is Turtle, and today I’m going to tell you who my top ten favorite Warriors characters are!

I love many characters in Warriors, but these characters I’m about to list are my ultimate favorites, and every single one of them will always have a special place in my heart.

Without further ado, let’s start the list!

10. Pebble Heart

Pebble Heart is a really sweet cat. I love his close bond with his adoptive father, Gray Wing.
I also love his bond with his siblings, Owl Eyes and Sparrow Fur. Another reason I love Pebble Heart is his kindness. In Moth Flight’s Vision, he was there for Moth Flight after her mate, Micah, died. Another thing I like about Pebble Heart is that he is wise. In Shadowstar’s Secret, he’s a trusted medicine cat with lots of wisdom to offer for ShadowClan. Pebble Heart is a great cat, and I like him a lot.

9. Hollyleaf and Ivypool (tie)

Hollyleaf is a loyal warrior. I know some people hate her for being ‘obsessed with the warrior code’, and for killing Ashfur, but I personally love her. I think that she redeemed herself for all the mistakes she made, and that she’s a good cat. I love her friendship with Cinderheart, and her close bond with her brothers, Jayfeather and Lionblaze. Hollyleaf was loyal till the very end, when her last action was dying to save Ivypool from Hawkfrost.

Ivypool is awesome. She is very brave, and even spied on the Dark Forest, literally risking her life every night. She is a very interesting character to read about. She’s a great mom to Bristlefrost, Thriftear, and Flipclaw, and a very loyal mate to Fernsong. I know some people do not like Ivypool X Fernsong, but I love it. People complain about the age difference, but it’s only two years. That’s really not a big deal. Ivypool is a wonderful character.

8. Jayfeather

Jayfeather is one of my favorite medicine cats. Yes, he can be grumpy, but he has a kind side. For example, he was always very kind to Briarlight, and I really like their friendship. (By the way, I don’t ship Jayfeather X Briarlight at all!) I really ship Jayfeather X Half Moon. It’s so sad that they couldn’t be together, because they were just so sweet! I think it was really sweet of Jayfeather to forgive Leafpool for her actions. He’s a good character, and one of the funniest cats in Warriors.

7. Leafpool
Leafpool is awesome. I was so sad when she died in Squirrelflight’s Hope. I think she was a wonderful sister to Squirrelflight, and I loved their close bond. I also liked Leafpool’s friendship with Sorreltail, and her friendship with Cody. I love Leafpool X Crowfeather, and I also love Leafpool X Mothwing- a ship I seriously wish was canon! I know some people hate Leafpool for not telling Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather that she is their mother, not Squirrelflight, but I think she did the right thing. Leafpool is marvelous.

6. Mapleshade/Squirrelflight (tie)

Mapleshade is a really good villain. She was a super interesting character in Crookedstar’s Promise. She is the Warriors character I defend the most. I felt so bad for her when her kits, Patchkit, Petalkit, and Larchkit died. And on top of it all, Appledusk is a jerk to her. Poor Mapleshade. I think that she deserved better. Literally the only characters in her novella who are kind to her are her kits, and Myler, that sweet kitty pet she meets. (Why do all of the Mapleshade MAPs forget about Myler? He’s a great cat!) Mapleshade is a good character, and in my opinion, she doesn’t deserve the Dark Forest.

Squirrelflight is amazing. She is such a good mother to Alderheart and Sparkpelt, and a good adoptive mother to Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather. Her relationship with Leafpool is amazing. I have to say, Squirrelflight was honestly kinda annoying when she was first introduced as an apprentice in The New Prophecy. But she improves greatly. She starts out as an annoying apprentice, but matures, and she becomes a kindhearted, loyal warrior anybody would be proud to fight alongside. I feel bad for Squirrelflight in Squirrelflight’s Hope, because Bramblestar is really mean to her in that book. She deserves better.

5. Rainswept Flower/Yellowfang (tie)

Rainswept Flower has always been one of my favorite characters. She is so sweet, and I just adore her! She was always kind to Jagged Peak, and helped him after his leg injury. I really liked it whenever Rainswept Flower would watch Turtle Tail’s kits, Pebble Heart, Owl Eyes, and Sparrow Fur, so Turtle Tail could hunt with Gray Wing or something. I was super sad when Rainswept Flower died. It was her death that made me seriously start hating Clear Sky, because he killed her. Poor Rainswept Flower!

Yellowfang has such a great personality: a little grumpy, but sweet. I’m really annoyed that in Omen of the Stars, StarClan Yellowfang is kinda irritating, when living Yellowfang is absolutely awesome. I feel really bad for Yellowfang in Yellowfang’s Secret. Raggedstar is a bit of a jerk to her. And Brokenstar was terrible to frame her for the killing of Marigoldkit and Mintkit. Yellowfang deserved better. Another thing I love about Yellowfang is her relationship with Cinderpelt. She was really kind to her! And she was like a mother to Firestar. Yellowfang is such a great character.

4. Hawkfrost

Hawkfrost is my favorite villain in all of Warriors. He was a very complex villain with interesting motives. He is an interesting character, and I really enjoyed reading about him, especially in Omen of the Stars. The way he convinced Ivypool to train in the Dark Forest, the way he attempted to convince Brambleclaw to kill Firestar- all of Hawkfrost’s evil moments were utterly fascinating. If Brambleclaw hasn’t killed him, Hawkfrost could have done so much more as a villain while still alive. I think that Hawkfrost deserves a super edition or novella of his own- so we can take a closer look at his reasoning behind his evil actions.

3. Graystripe

Graystripe is such a sweet character. I loved his friendship with Flipclaw in Graystripe’s Vow. Graystripe is really sweet. His loyalty to Silverstream is amazing. I totally shipped them! It’s really too bad Silverstream died. Poor Graystripe! Another thing I love about Graystripe is his loyalty to his best friend, Firestar. Graystripe is kindhearted, brave, and generally amazing. I think he is a good father and mate. Go Graystripe! It’s not his fault his second mate is so annoying… (But now isn’t the time to go into all the reasons I hate Millie. I’ll save that for a different article.)

2. Gray Wing

Gray Wing is terrific on so many levels. He’s such a good father! He took amazing care of all of his kits: Thunder, Pebble Heart, Owl Eyes, Sparrow Fur, White Tail, Silver Stripe, and Black Ear. (The adoptive ones totally count as Gray Wing’s kits, by the way: both of his adoptive kits’ biological fathers- Clear Sky and Tom- are jerks. Gray Wing was a much better dad.) Gray Wing was a very kind cat, and a loving mate to both Turtle Tail and Slate. I was so sad when he died at the end of Path of the Stars. His death scene was hands down one of the saddest moments in all of Warriors! Gray Wing was an awesome character, and I adore him.

1. Turtle Tail

Turtle Tail is, in my opinion, the absolute best character in all of Warriors. There are so many things I love about her: her kind personality, her bravery, her love for her kits. Turtle Tail was a wonderful mate to Gray Wing. She wasn’t upset when he fell in love with Slate, she was happy for him, which is yet another thing I love about her. Turtle Tail was a great friend to Bumble, too. I was heartbroken when Turtle Tail was killed by a monster, and to this day, I can’t read the part in The First Battle where Thunder and Lightning Tail find her body without feeling upset for the rest of the day. Turtle Tail is loving, caring, sweet, affectionate, intelligent, creative, and loyal. She is a great character, and she will forever be my favorite Warriors character.
