Why Firestar’s family is so Important by Wolfgaze

Hey guys, it is Wolfgaze! This is my first article so; I hope you like it! I will be talking about why Firestar’s family is so important.

You know how Firestar is now the legendary leader of ThunderClan, well, what about his descendants? I believe that his descendants have some importance.
So, let’s start off with Sandstorm! Sandstorm is a very important character. She is the mate of the legendary Firestar and the mother of Squirrelflight and Leafpool. She helped Firestar restored SkyClan and was loyal to Firestar as his mate and warrior. After Firestar’s death, Sandstorm does grieve heavily but still carries on being a strong warrior. And finally, she does one last thing, helping Alderpaw finding SkyClan but dies trying. Rest in peace Sandstorm.

Next is (drum roll please) Squirrelflight! Squirrelflight does so many things that will be never forgotten. She is the daughter of the legendary Firestar and is the mother of Alderheart, Sparkpelt, Dandelionkit, and Juniperkit. (and Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, Lionblaze) When she was an apprentice, she followed Brambleclaw to the sun-drown place get the message from Midnight and help lead the clans to the lake territories. Squirrelpaw went around the lake with Brambleclaw, Crowfeather, Tawnypelt, and Mistyfoot to check if the land was safe for the clans. She also became the “mother” to Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze. After the great battle, she was chosen as deputy under Bramblestar. She also helps defend the Sisters from the Clans and in The Broken Code arc, she takes on the roll of acting leader and got dragged into the Moonpool. One more thing, she also had some time in StarClan when she got injured by a rockfall.

Leafpool, the wonderful medicine cat. She is “secretly” the mother of Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather. Leafpool never did anything that important except for having the prophecy of Brambleclaw is going to kill Hawkfrost and Leafpool fell in love with Crowfeather and ran away with him but came back and found that Cinderpelt was dead, so ya. Then she mentored her own son. Wow, what incredible luck. Then Hollyleaf literally told everyone in the clans that Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather’s mother and father are Leafpool and Crowfeather. Thanks a lot, Hollyleaf, just what we need, more drama. At that point, Leafpool was no longer a medicine cat and became a warrior. She went back to being a medicine cat right before the great battle. She mentored Puddleshine because Littlecloud died and Puddleshine turned out alright. She also helped Squirrelflight save the Sisters but died of injuries in a rockfall. Bye Leafpool.

Do not worry, I did not forget Cloudtail. Cloudtail is the nephew of the legendary Firestar and the father of Whitewing, Dewnose, Snowbush, and Ambermoon. He was taken into the clan by Firestar from Princess, Firestar’s sister. During his apprentice training, he’s been eating kittypet food and Fireheart catches him and questions him about it. Then later he gets stolen by Twolegs but Fireheart and Sandstorm find him and bring him back. He helps Brightpaw gain confidence and becoming an awesome warrior after she was mauled by dogs. He participates in the great battle and many moons after, I mean many moons after he retires to the elder’s den.

Cloudtail’s kits do not do that many important things, but I should still include them. Whitewhing is the mother of the famous Dovewing and Ivypool. She helps Dovewing feel better after the great battle because she had lost her power. Then there’s Dewnose, only thing he does become the father to Baypaw and Myrtlepaw. Snowbush is the father to Larksong, Honeyfur, and Leafshade. He dies because of an infected leg injury. Ambermoon just dies, she dies because she got killed by an owl. Wow, just wow.

Don’t worry, I’m not forgetting the great Three.(Well, technically Lionblaze and Jayfeather. Sorry, not Hollyleaf, but I am still going to talk about her.) They were all born to Leafpool and Crowfeather or Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. At first Jaypaw finds out that Firestar got a prophecy from Skywatcher that said, “There will be three, kin of your kin, who will hold the power of stars in their paws.” Jayfeather and Lionbalze happen to be two of the three, but Hollyleaf was not the third. Then Hollyleaf found out that their parents are Leafpool and Crowfeather, not Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. She was really upset so she faked her death. Then she came and died saving Ivypool from Hawkfrost. Lionblaze becomes the father of Hollytuft, Sorrelstripe, Fernsong, Spotfur, Flywhisker, and Snaptooth.

Next is Alderheart, Sparkpelt, Dandelionkit, and Juniperkit. They are the real sons and daughters of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. He goes on a quest to find SkyClan with Sandstorm, Sparkpaw, Molewhisker, and Cherryfall but Sandstorm sadly dies. Instead, they find Darktail and his rogues and they follow them back to the Clans. Alderpaw and Needlepaw also found Violetkit and Twigkit who are now Violetshine and Twigbranch. Dandelionkit and Juniperkit sadly die when they are kits, but you get to see them when Squirrelflight is in StarClan for a short period of time.

Now we have Ivypool and Dovewing. They are the daughter of Whitewing and Birchfall. Lionblaze and Jayfeather find out that Dovewing is one of the Three instead of Hollyleaf. Soon Ivypaw gets jealous trains under the Dark Forest to become a better warrior. Then Lionblaze and Dovepaw go on a journey to stop the beavers from blocking the water. Then Dovewing tells Ivypool about the prophecy and starts spying on the Dark Forest, after that they became closer. When the great battle came, Ivypool started to attack the Dark Forest cats and betray them. When she is fighting Hawkfrost, she started to have some trouble but then Hollyleaf saved her. By the time they got to camp, Hollyleaf was badly injured and died. Many moons after, Dovewing mates with Tigerstar and has Shadowsight, Pouncestep, and Lightleap and Ivypool mates with Fernsong and has Brislefrost, Thriftear, and Flipclaw.

I am going to these cats all at once so, Hollytuft, Sorrelstripe, Fernsong, Spotfur, Snaptooth, Flywhisker, Flamepaw, Finchpaw, Flickerkit, Mrytlepaw, and Baypw. Man, that is a lot. Hollytuft was name after Hollyleaf and exactly looks like her. Sorrelstripe is the mother of Mrytlepaw and Baypaw and is named after Sorrelstripe. Fernsong is the father of Brislefrost, Thriftear, and Flipclaw. He is named after Ferncloud. Spotfur started a rebellion against Bramblestar’s Imposter and her mate, Stemleaf sadly died. Then she became pregnant. Snaptooth and Flywhisker became kittypets because they didn’t like how the Clans were now. Flamepaw Finchpaw, and Flickerkit are the kits of Sparkpelt and Larksong. Flickerkit was stillborn and ascended to StarClan. Baypaw and Mrytlepaw are the kits of Sorrelstripe and Dewnose.
