ashfur, brambleclaw and squirrelflight- a defense article for brambleclaw by Creekkit

Creekkit defends Brambleclaw.

Creekkit here. This was always gonna be a series but it got delayed so here is part 2 of Squirrelflight, Brambleclaw and ashfur. I have done a part 1, so check that out, tooThis time it will be a defense article for brambleclaw.

His relationship with Squilf is much more developed, as the whent on a whole massive quest together. Yes, I know that they argue a lot , but that just makes things all the more realistic. This is not my fav ship, but neither is Ashfur X squilf. Every argument was just brambleclaw trying to protect her, and I mean, surely you would be annoyed if your wife lied to you about your kits, which are now adults and have spent their whole life believing you were their dad.

Here are some quotes:

“Brambleclaw turned to Squirrelflight first. “Will you fight beside me?”
Their eyes met for a long moment. “Always,” she meowed.”

“Will you be my deputy, Squirrelflight? There is no cat I trust more. Everything you do is for the best of reasons. I understand that now.”

They are not perfect together, I admit, but at least they make up.

Squirrelflight: “Look, Ashfur. I really care about you as a friend, but I don’t want any more than that.”
Ashfur: “But I love you! We’d be great together, Squirrelflight, I know we would.”
Squirrelflight: “I’m sorry. I never meant to hurt you, but Brambleclaw—well, I think StarClan has destined us to be together.”
Ashfur: “I don’t know how you can say that! You said yourself that it’s impossible to trust a cat with Brambleclaw’s heritage. He’s a great cat, I know, but he is still Tigerstar’s son.”
Squirrelflight: “I’ll judge Brambleclaw by his own actions not by something that other cats did long before I was born.”
Ashfur: “I’m only thinking of you, Squirrelflight. I can remember Tigerstar. His paws were red with the blood of innocent cats. You know that he murdered my mother to lure a pack of dogs to our camp?”

Ashfur also treats Squilf like an object and disrespects her as she is part kittypet.
He then blocks Starclan, tries to kill Shadowsight, Brambleclaw, Sparkpelt, Lionblaze and he takes over the DF, and captures spirits. He tries to kill Hollyleaf, Jayfeather and Lionblaze, as well just because Squirrelflight only wants to be his friend.
