My Opinion On Windclan Leaders by Twigtail

Twigtail shares their opinion on leaders from WindClan.

So, I am doing an article about the 5 Windclan leaders, since I thought it would go with the new release of Winds of Change. So, the 5 leaders I’m talking about are Harestar, Heatherstar, Onestar, Tallstar, and Windstar.

Harestar- So, I don’t know much about Harestar, but that he is the current leader of Windclan as of Onestar’s death. As Harespring, his warrior name, he trained in the Dark Forest alongside Breezepelt and the other Windclan trainees. He fought alongside the clans when it came to the final battle. He earned the respect of Windclan back, and became the deputy after Ashfoot died. When he became leader, he chose Crowfeather to be his deputy. I look forward to what happens when Crowfeather becomes Crowstar (if he doesn’t die) and I am sad that Leafpool didn’t live to see him become deputy. But at least she’s watching from Starclan, right?

Heatherstar- so, Heatherstar is ok. She plays a big role in Tallstar’s Revenge, though she changes opinions really fast in the story. In the prologue it shows her as this young leader, and she’s all worked up about Moth Fight’s warning about Tallstar. Then, when he finally decides to leave, she respects that and knows he’ll come back someday. And she was right. She’s also the reason Tallstar had to go on his emotional journey with his father and find out who he is. You might not think she was that important, but I kinda see her like that.

Onestar- So Onestar is probably one of my least favorite’s from Windclan. He is so nice as Onewhisker, he’s friends with Firestar, and Firestar always supports him and tries to help him a lot. But once he becomes OneSTAR, he kinda becomes evil and mean towards Thunderclan and the others. He’s says he’s trying to prove that Windclan can do things and survive without Thunderclan’s support, but I think he was really suddenly super power mad after becoming Onestar. This is my theory, since it’s never really said why he suddenly becomes evil.

Tallstar- So Tallstar is probably my favorite, because he is so kind to Firestar and the other clans and his story is so dramatic and inspiring. When he has to deal with the fact that his mother is super depressed and never really leaves the nursery, even after he becomes an apprentice. He also has to deal with the fact that it seems like all the Tunnelers (especially Sandgorse) are depending on him to grow their numbers. Even when his father has him come in and try the digging for part of his training, he hates it so much and his rift with his father grows even more. When Sparrow comes out of the tunnel and his father is dead, that was definitely the final straw and he totally snapped in half. Then Heatherstar banned tunneling, and his mother took a new mate and had 4 new kits, and didn’t seem to care about him. But then, he ran away and met Jake, and didn’t kill Sparrow. He then recognized Firestar as Jake’s son and always was nice and kind to him, like a second father. That makes me so happy.

Windstar- Being the first ever leader of Windclan, Windstar was really fair and nice, yet tempered when she needed to be. She was also a girl, which is a super strike for female leaders, along with Shadowstar, who was also a girl I believe. I haven’t read too much about her, so I can’t say much.
