Mosspaw shares their opinions on Ravenpaw and Barley

Hello, kitties, I’m Mosspaw/Mossfire! I am here to talk about Ravenpaw and Barley. Before we get in, I must just say SPOILER ALERT!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE PROPHECIES BEGIN, THE NEW PROPHECY, RAVENPAW’S FAREWELL, SECRETS OF THE CLANS, OR RAVENPAW’S PATH, TURN AWAY NOW!!!! Hope you enjoy! C:

Ravenpaw is super important in Warriors (he even got his own mini super edition, and a graphic novel series!!) and we all know Barley. I have to be honest, I don’t really like Barley. Before all you Barley fans go and scream at me, just let me state my reasons. First, he’s got a chapter about him in Secrets of the Clans, and he just seemed. . .off. Like, he broke the rules, good for him, but he wasn’t really defiant in any way. Second, why did he leave Violet with Fuzz? I know Violet was injured, but she was a wild cat. She ended up being happy, but how did Barley know she would be? Why would he take a chance like that? Barley barely knew Fuzz at the time! Third, Barley’s a coward, sort of. He literally ran away from BloodClan and did nothing to stop them until they came to the forest! And he just fought in the battle. Firestar was the one who organized the battle. If I were Barley, I would have gone far away, waited until I was actually fine, and then gone and organized a battle! Waiting until you’re fine doesn’t take years!! So, yeah. Conclusion: I do not like Barley. He’s a good character, and I understand if you like him, but he’s not my favourite.
Now, Ravenpaw. Ravenpaw is a whole other matter. . .When I read Into the Wild, I thought he was a stupid, nervous coward. But that was just Tigerclaw. After Ravenpaw goes to live with Barley, I actually really liked him. He was good to Firestar and Graystripe, and he tried to keep up with things in their lives even though he wasn’t a big part of them anymore. I understood his troubles with the barn, the fire, if you needed an example, I understood why he was happier there, and I was sad when he was left behind when the Clans went to the lake. But then Ravenpaw’s Farewell comes out. I really love SkyClan (and Bellaleaf) and Ravenpaw, so . . . And then he dies. I get it, he was old, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t make me sad. And Barley lived! Why didn’t Barley die? Oh, well. I can deal with it. Barley is barely a part of the Warriors world anymore. . . Anyway. I really love Ravenpaw. I’m sad he died. But I think he’s in StarClan, and he’s my brave little kitty for denying a warrior name when he could have had it. Conclusion: I love Ravenpaw. Anyone who does not like Ravenpaw, I understand. But Ravenpaw is very good. Great. Amazing. 😀

Anyway, that’s all. I hope you enjoyed, and if you disagree with anything I said, I totally get it. Mosspaw, out –>
