Have you had snow yet? ❄️
There was snow in Sheffield over the weekend and I took myself for a snowy walk in the snowy woods and felt very festive. The joy of chilliness outdoors makes indoor cosiness even cosier. My home becomes like a large, warm, candlelit den, sheltered from the freezing winds and icy rain, and I am thankful that I have somewhere to be safe and warm this time of year.
Let’s take a moment to think of people and animals less fortunate and to share with them a little seasonal love and kindness because that’s what the holidays are for. ❤️
Now, back to Cadvent.
I adore this picture by Cinderflame. It’s beautiful simplicity sums up pure Holiday joy. Thanks, Cinderflame 💖☃️

And here is Pinestripe’s chicken Pepe, who is sadly not with us this year. Pepe passed away and will be sadly missed. This is what Pinestripe wrote:
“Throughout her life my beautiful Pepe has always loved Christmas. She had a wonderful time sitting under the tree, looking at ornaments, and begging for cookies.
This year will be her first Christmas up in Heaven. Our beautiful angel will be forever loved and missed.”
Dear, gentle Pepe. 🌟💖

Finally, Blossomtail found this gorgeous kitty and sent me the link. I have no cats this Christmas. I want to do some adventuring before I get more kittens (I can’t bear to leave cats behind when I travel) but a house isn’t the same without pets and I’m looking forward to having more in the future. Meanwhile, pictures like this will have to fill the space in my heart reserved exclusively for cats. ❤️🥳☃️ Thanks, Blossomtail, for sharing.

I’m sorry, for the loss, Pine. I do know how it feels, as I’ve lost four chickens in my time.
