My Theories for A Starless Clan (!SPOILERS!) by Moonblaze

Moonblaze compiles information about the upcoming arc and theorizes about it!

Heyo! Moonblaze here. This is my first time writing an article, so as you can imagine, I’m pretty excited. Before we start, if you didn’t see the title, there WILL be a TON of spoilers for random books. So, to those who do not want to be spoiled, I will wait for you to leave. 1..2..3.. Ok lets begin!

First off, THERES GONNA BE AN 8TH ARC!!!!!!
As you can see, I’m pretty excited. The new arc is called A Starless Clan. It looks pretty exciting, so I’m just gonna get into this before I get sidetracked.

Ok so to start with I want to begin with giving you guys the blurbs that we have so far, so that we can discuss them. Here is the website blurb.
“A dark age has given way to an era of peace in the five warrior Clans, and with it comes a promise of hope. As their leaders deliberate on unprecedented changes to the warrior code, three young warriors set their paws on the paths that will decide their futures.
In ThunderClan, warrior apprentice Flamepaw, a descendant of the legendary leader Firestar, struggles under the weight of his famous kin’s legacy, while young ShadowClan warrior Sunbeam has doubts of her own. But in RiverClan, medicine cat apprentice Frostpaw looks eagerly toward the horizon, awaiting the day she will be called upon to help her Clan—a day that may dawn sooner than she ever dreamed.”

So now I will give you a blurb that I found off of Wikipedia, its called the ‘Edelweiss’ blurb.
“The dawn of a new age is upon the warrior Clans: one of peace, unity, and change. Now, as a new generation of warriors rise—including a young ThunderClan apprentice descended from the legendary Firestar—leaders from the five Clans agree that the Warrior Code must be reformed if that harmony is to be upheld. But when tragedy strikes RiverClan, old fears will give rise to new tensions—unless one young medicine cat apprentice can use her unusual connection with StarClan to calm the coming storm.”

So y’all can see that we have 2 intriguing blurbs. So we know that the three POV characters are Sunbeam, a ShadowClan warrior, Flamepaw, a ThunderClan apprentice (Sparkpelt’s son) and a new medicine cat apprentice, Frostpaw, in RiverClan. So here I put together what I know and what I think about these characters.

Sunbeam: Sunbeam is a brown-and-white tabby she-cat with amber eyes.

Sunbeam is a ShadowClan warrior under Tigerstar’s leadership in the lake territories. Sunkit and her brothers, Spirekit and Hollowkit, were born to Sparrowtail and Berryheart on their trek back to ShadowClan, their parents having fled the Clans during the reign of the Kin. She eventually became an apprentice named Sunpaw under the mentorship of Snaketooth and earned her warrior name, Sunbeam.

In the A Vision of Shadows arc
River of Fire
Sunkit is part of Tigerheart’s patrol returning to ShadowClan, alongside Hollowkit, Spirekit, Berryheart, Sparrowtail, Cloverfoot, and Slatefur. Her mother, Berryheart, introduces Violetshine to Sunkit, Hollowkit, and Spirekit, adding that Violetshine may receive one them as her apprentice. Sunkit squeaks that it will be her, bouncing up and down while arguing about who it will be with her brothers. Violetshine is delighted at the kits enthusiasm, but feels guilty that Berryheart doesn’t know ShadowClan is gone. When Tigerheart is resurrected as Tigerstar and revives the fallen ShadowClan, Sunkit joins her family and new Clanmates in following Tigerstar to her new home.

The Raging Storm
Alderheart mentions her when he tells Berryheart that Hollowkit should be kept away from his siblings until his cough is better. Berryheart informs the medicine cat that they are already sleeping with Yarrowleaf’s kits.

In The Broken Code
Lost Stars
She is now a warrior of ShadowClan named Sunbeam.

In the Super Editions
Tigerheart’s Shadow
Sunkit is born to Berryheart and Sparrowtail, alongside her brothers, Hollowkit and Spirekit. A moon later, Sunkit and her brothers have tried prey for the first time. Growing quickly, they explore further from their nest, but still need to suckle during the night. Sunkit nestles at Berryheart’s belly as Tigerheart wonders if the kits are ready to travel back to ShadowClan.
When the older cats discuss how to reach ShadowClan, Berryheart and Sparrowtail tell Sunkit and Spirekit to play with Dovewing’s kits. Berryheart nudges her daughter away, and and Dovewing asks Pouncekit to keep them busy. Pouncekit asks if they can listen and Dovewing tells them they may listen but must not interrupt. The kits hurry to Pouncekit, clustering closer together. Tigerheart asks Berryheart if her kits are ready to travel, but their mother points out that they are not even weaned. They consider carrying the kits, but Dovewing suggests waiting a quarter moon, and Berryheart agrees that the kits will be ready then if the weather permits.
Dovewing watches Hollowkit and Sunkit explore beyond the camp wall, with Pouncekit and Lightkit bouncing around them. Tigerheart warns them to hide as an owl appears, and Sunkit stares at him, wide-eyed. When the owl drops Tigerheart from the sky, Sunkit hides behind Berryheart as they check on him.
When Tigerheart joins StarClan, he sees Sunkit with her siblings, along with his own kits, being shielded by Berryheart, Cloverfoot, and Cinnamon from his corpse as Sparrowtail and Rippletail carry it away. Sunkit and the others travel to ShadowClan and are welcomed as the newest members of the Clan.

Squirrelflight’s Hope
She and her brothers are now apprentices, and her mentor is Snaketooth.

In the Novellas
Tawnypelt’s Clan
She is spotted by Tawnypelt playing with the other kits in ShadowClan while Berryheart and Cloverfoot watch over them.

So that is all we know about Sunbeam!

Flamepaw:Flamepaw is a black tom[1] with amber eyes.[3]

Flamepaw is a ThunderClan apprentice under the impostor’s, Squirrelflight’s, Lionblaze’s, and Graystripe’s leaderships in the lake territories with Lilyheart as his mentor. Flamekit was born to Sparkpelt and Larksong, along with Finchkit and Flickerkit, the latter of which was stillborn. He later became an apprentice, Flamepaw. His mother and sister were exiled by Bramblestar’s impostor, but they returned under Squirrelflight’s temporary leadership.

In The Broken Code
Lost Stars
Flamekit briefly appears along with his sister Finchkit when Sparkpelt and Sorrelstripe come out of the nursery to listen to the Clan meeting. Later, Flamekit and Finchkit tumble around while being watched by Sorrelstripe as their mother speaks with the Clan deputy, Squirrelflight. When Bramblestar’s body is brought to camp, he and Finchkit are noted to be staring at it with sadness, along with Baykit and Myrtlekit.

The Silent Thaw
Flamepaw is now an apprentice and his mentor is Lilyheart. Flamepaw and his sister nose around the camp wall, sniffing for signs of prey while their mentors murmur quietly from a distance. He follows along with Finchpaw, Lilyheart and Cinderheart when the gray tabby warrior takes them to follow on Mousewhisker and Baypaw for training. He eats with his mentor and Thriftear. Later on, the tom helps Bristlefrost repair the warriors den. He finds the hole in the roof, calling down to Bristlefrost as he patches it up with threaded bracken. Flamepaw remains tending to the den when Bristlefrost is beckoned by Bramblestar to have a chat. Bramblestar furiously scolds Sparkpelt for attempting to find Lionblaze, and Flamepaw shivers in horror as Sparkpelt pleads not to be banished because her kits are still apprentices. Bramblestar orders Sparkpelt to fetch catmint near the abandoned Twoleg nest and indirectly threatens Flamepaw.

Darkness Within
Flamepaw and Myrtlepaw emerge from the apprentices’ den to observe Thornclaw challenging Lionblaze about ThunderClan’s leadership. Thornclaw points out that many of the Clan’s leaders and deputies have been Firestar’s kin, and he questions if Lionblaze will make Sparkpelt or Flamepaw his deputy. Thornclaw glares at Flamepaw, who shrinks in discomfort and leans closer to Myrtlepaw, and Lionblaze growls at the warrior. Later, Alderheart suggests that if Bristlefrost is bored, she can help Flamepaw and Baypaw to clear out the elders’ bedding.

The Place of No Stars
When Graystripe returns from his wander, he orders the apprentices to take the remaining prey off the fresh-kill pile to the elders.

In the Super Editions
Squirrelflight’s Hope
Flamekit is the secondborn of Sparkpelt and Larksong, with his sister Finchkit and his brother Flickerkit. Flamekit’s brother is stillborn and Larksong dies just as the siblings are born. With the death of her mate and son, Sparkpelt is unable to look after Flamekit or Finchkit because she is in a deep depression, and the two siblings are given to Sorrelstripe to be looked after.
Bramblestar and Squirrelflight, Flamekit’s and Finchkit’s grandparents, find peace looking over the two siblings as Sparkpelt struggles with her depression, and Squirrelflight begins to realize that she is enjoying looking after her grandchildren over having another litter with Bramblestar. Daisy begins to worry that the siblings won’t see Sparkpelt as their mother anymore and instead turn to herself or Sorrelstripe because of Sparkpelt’s refusal to interact with her kits.
When Squirrelflight returns from StarClan, she convinces Sparkpelt to spend time with her kits after learning that Larksong and Flickerkit would be watching over them from StarClan. When Squirrelflight and Sparkpelt go to see the two kits, Flamekit is excited to see his grandmother and initially doesn’t believe that Sparkpelt wants to interact with them, but his mother soon begins to develop a proper relationship with her children, while Flamekit and Finchkit are happy that their mother wants to spend time with them.

In the Novellas
Daisy’s Kin
Daisy notes that Flamepaw had grown up so much, wondering when his warrior ceremony would be. Mousewhisker credits her with taking part in raising the young apprentice. A while later, she spots Flamepaw taking prey from the fresh-kill pile with his sister.

And that is Flamepaw for you!

Frostpaw : Frostpaw is a she-cat with blue-green eyes.

In The Broken Code
Lost Stars
Frostkit is mentioned by Mistystar at a Gathering to have been born to Curlfeather, along with her two other siblings, Mistkit and Graykit.

So this is what we know about them! Now we are going to talk about their personalities. (Also-most of this stuff I got from Wikipedia and my books that I have and I am pretty sure its all accurate but feel free to tell me if there is something wrong)

Sunbeam: I am not sure about her personality. Since we haven’t heard much from her in the books, she might be a little bit shy. Not really sure what else to put, so we will leave it at that.

Flamepaw: It says in one of the blurbs that he is worried about living up to expectations. I can agree with that because his great grandfather, (Firestar) and his grandfather (Bramblestar) were both leaders. His mother and father were both formidable hunters and fighters, with his mother catching prey on her first time out as an apprentice. Also his sisters brother, Alderheart, is a very good medicine cat.

Frostpaw: By far, Frostpaw is the one I am most excited about. We really need to focus on RiverClan and WindClan more, because they have kind of been forgotten with all the things that have happened. ShadowClan almost falling apart, SkyClan coming back, the imposter in ThunderClan, all that juicy stuff. I think that Frostpaw, based on the blurb that says she really wants to help her Clan, might be a little ambitious. She might have trained as a warrior first, but then recognized her ‘unusual connection with StarClan’ like Alderheart. Or she might have powers like Jayfeather did, because it says she has to ‘calm the coming storm’ so maybe.

Ok, so time to get to my actual theories. After taking apart the things
I know piece by piece, here is some of my theories.

Theory 1: Well we know that there is going to be some trouble in RiverClan. The first book is called ‘River’ so we are probably going to focus on that trouble. I’m thinking that if there is ‘a coming storm’ then there could be some normal things like flooding, but maybe since the whole thing is called A Starless Clan then possibly something like the Spirit Eaters in Bravelands? Something could be taking the stars away, and the clans have to vanquish it? So that is my first theory.

Theory 2: Maybe its a quest, like in the New Prophecy and they have to go and look for something to help the Clans? They might have to go to SkyClan’s old home, the gorge and find maybe some cat or something. Or, like my first theory, they could be looking for something to make the stars come back.

Sorry, but those are the end of my theories BUT if this actually gets posted then I might make a part 2 with more. So for now, my brain is tired and ima go get some pizza. Moonblaze, out.
