Meadowpaw shares songs that relate to Warriors, and why.

Hello fellow Blogclanners!  Meadowpaw is back with her 2nd article!  While listening to music (as I often do) I found some songs that I imagine would be perfect as warrior cat songs!  Hope you enjoy! (Sorry for the tear jerker at the end!)

1. Can you Feel the Love Tonight

This song is from the Lion King.  It is when Simba and Nala fall in love.  I thought that it would be perfect for Firestar and Sandstorm!  Graystripe and Cinderpelt play Timon and Pumba.

Graystripe:  I can see what’s happening
Cinderpelt: What
Graystripe: And they don’t have a clue
Cinderpelt: Who
Graystripe: They’ll fall in love and here’s the bottom line, our trio’s down to two.

2. Sing the day

This one was supposed to be in Bambi 2 (my sisters forced me to listen to the soundtrack) but was cut.  I thought that it would fit perfectly for Cinderpaw and Fireheart when Cinderpaw is first apprenticed.

3. A Whole New World

This song is from Aladdin.  It is when Aladdin takes Jasmine on a magic carpet ride.  As much as I hate Dovewing and Tigerstar 2 (see my previous article) their romance needs a song.  I thought that this would work well during one of their nighttime meetings.

This is another song from Bambi 2 *smiles sheepishly*  This one would be for Cinderheart and Lionblaze.  I imagine them singing this song when they are running through the forest on one of their nighttime walks.

I’ve been raised on 70’s and 80’s music.  This song, by the Cars, is one of my favorites.  This one would be for Ashfur after Squirrelflight dumped him for Brambleclaw.

This song is from the Lion King 2.  It is sung after Kiara meets Kovu, and is taken away by her father.  Simba sings to his daughter about how in the Pride Lands they are one.  This would be for Firestar talking when he’s talking to Squirrelpaw.

7. A Thousand Years

I’m not going to lie, I hated the way A Light in the Mist ended.  I cried for an hour when Bristlefrost died.  I felt so bad for Rootspring when he realized that he would NEVER see the love of his life again.  She would only be a memory.  The touch of her pelt, the sound of her voice are all just a memory to him now.  But Rootspring will remember and love her for a thousand years.  This song by Christina Perri ALWAYS makes me cry when I hear it.  But when I was listening to it the other day, it clicked for me.  This is perfect for Rootspring.  The chorus is Rootspring in the present, talking to Bristlefrost, hoping that somehow she can hear him.
