Mintysky compares Warriors and Wings of Fire
Hi BlogClan! It’s Mintysky with my first ever article! As you probably guessed from the title, this article is going to be about the similarities and differences between Warriors and Wings of Fire.
Wings of Fire books are a novel series by Tui T. Sutherland.
I haven’t read all the books, so if I’m wrong, please correct me 🙂
Wings of Fire series is about the chosen five dragons that are going to save the world by ending a war and bringing peace. There are five main characters, Clay, the Mudwing, Tsunami, the Seawing, Starflight, the Nightwing, Glory, the Rainwing, and Sunny, the Sandwing. They are chosen by Talons of Peace. The dragonets are first “locked in” a cave guarded by the dragons who raised them. Once they were free, they looked for their parents one by one. They faced many challenges, but they worked together to get over them.
I bet you’re awfully bored by now that bunch of words attacked you. So enough explaining and let’s get to the similarities!
1. One reason why Wings of Fire books are similar to Warriors is because many characters have similar characteristics. For example, I think Tsunami is similar to Squirrelflight because they are both very confident, outgoing, fearless, and adventurous. Tsunami is never afraid of fighting someone, even the fiercest, scariest enemy. When Squirrelflight went on the journey to the sun-drown place, she wasn’t scared to risk her life by going there. There are many other cats and dragons that share similar aspects. But then if I write down all the ones I can think of, the article would be too long. 🙂
2. Another reason is because Tui T. Sutherland, the author of Wings of Fire, worked on Warriors too so I think they have a lot in common.(It doesn’t really make sense but I don’t know what else to say)
3. They both include fighting. Warriors are trained to fight and there are wars. In the first book(spoiler warning!!!) of Wings of Fire the dragonets became prisoners of Queen Scarlet(leader of Skywings) and they had to fight other prisoners. Of course, there are more fighting scenes later, but I don’t have to write all of them!
4. Clans don’t exist in Wings of Fire but something LIKE Clans exist. There are different types of dragons that live together. They are Mudwings, Sandwings, Skywings, Seawings, Icewings, Rainwings, Nightwings, Hivewings, Leafwings, and Silkwings. Seawings and Riverclan are very similar, and you can guess that from the name.
5. They all have leaders of their groups(Clans)
6. There are prophecies.
7. People exist in both of the series, but there aren’t many people currently LIVING in Wings of Fire. (is that a similarity??)
Now the differences:
1. First of all, Warriors is about CATS and Wings of Fire is about DRAGONS.
2. There are no medicine cats and deputies(I think)
3. In Wings of Fire, there’s only one prophecy, but in Warriors, there are many.
That’s all I can think of right now ^^ Please comment if you find more!
I hope you enjoyed my article! Until next time…

There is definitely more than one prophecy in wings of fire.
True, there are three, four if there is the promised fourth arc.
There’s actually 3 prophecies in wof, thee are heirs, who are in line for the throne, and healers do exist, but they aren’t super important. The next prophecy in wof is about a couple of dragnets who have to defeat a scary immortal 2000 year old dragon with magic powers. The third prophecy is abt a different continent with an evil plant thing, so yeah. Also I feel like you aren’t really doing wof justice, but I may be byased bc I’m a wof fan. Although wof doesn’t have an afterlife like StarClan. Wof also takes place on a totally different planet (or maybe earth after a lot of time) and the tribes can only be ruled by queens/ female heirs. Sometimes the way they get their throne though is by challenging the current queen to a battle to the death. Whoever wins gets the throne/kingdom. Also dragon names always stay, where as warriors have the suffix of their name changed throughout their life. A dragon from, like, the SkyWing tribe, can’t switch tribes because each tribe has different appearances and powers, where as a warrior can switch clans. There are hybrids though in wof including but not limited to: (spoilers!!) sunny, Darkstalker, Whiteout, and Peacemaker. Sorry if that was a lot, I just feel like a lot was left out here. I understand you haven’t read all of wof tho.
Who would win?
A scary nightmare dragon that can read minds, see the future, and control dragons and things ( no kidding) or a strawberry?
