My top ships (canon and headcanon) by Stormytalon

Stormytalon lists their favourite ships!

Hello I am Stormy and today I would like to share my favorite ships of all time, be they canon or headcanon. **Warning. Spoilers for newer books such as Squirrel flight’s Hope and TBC arc.** Now let’s dive in.

1. Leafpool and Crowfeather (canon). I loved reading about them. When I first started the series I actually started with Sunset and then read the entire New Prophecy backwards lol Leafpool instantly became a favorite of mine and by extension, Crowfeather joined my top ranks. I always look forward to reading ANY content about the pair. It started or Leafpool being unable to stand the grouchy tom, but quickly turned into a strong feeling that turned into heartache after she choose to follow her heart and leave ThunderClan for him only to return because of her strong sense of duty. With Crowfeather, he didn’t expect to feel for another cat as he had felt for Feathertail, but it makes sense to me that the cat he fell for was Leafpool. Leafpool was kind and gentle just as Feathertail was. It makes it easier to fall for someone when they’re nice. Spoilers for Squirrelflight’s Hope, that small scene we get a tiny bit of Crowfeather reacting to Leafpool’s death is so heart touching. I wish I could see more of it.

2. Rainwhisker and Swallowtail (headcanon). *Sigh* There’s not much content to really go off of for this ship save for a few scenes such as Rainwhisker greeting her by licking her head at a Gathering and their goodbyes after the Great Journey. That doesn’t bother me much though. To me they had a beautiful relationship and I will die thinking that.

3. Sorreltail and Brackenfur (canon). There isn’t a couple to love more than these two. They were made for each other. The warriors complement one another in ways I haven’t seen in the series. They’re constantly looking out for their family and truly love each other. Sorreltail and Brackenfur are two of my favorite background characters. When Sorretail died, my heart broke as much as Brackenfur’s did. His beautiful words about her death says how much he truly loves and misses her. I will cry when Brackenfur joins StarClan but I will rejoice in the fact that he is reunited with his beloved.

4. Squirrelflight and Sootfur (headcanon). I’m sure you’ve noticed that Sootfur’s littermates are on this list and that is simply because I love that whole litter. Same goes for Leafpool and Squirrelflight. With that aside, I enjoy the idea of Squirrelflight being with ANYONE BESIDES BRAMBLESTAR OR ASHFUR. Ashfur for obvious reasons and Bramblestar are obvious too. Just read the books. Really read them and comprehend what he is doing to her. Again putting aside my hate for those two cats. Sootfur
