Turtlepaw analyses Ivypool x Blossomfall

*Warning: Spoilers for Omen of the Stars are ahead! If you don’t want spoilers, then please don’t read this article!*

Hey! I’m Turtlepaw, and today I’m going to be talking about why I ship Ivypool and Blossomfall!

Blossomfall and Ivypool could totally work as a couple, because they actually have quite a few things in common!

For starters, Ivypool and Blossomfall both know what it’s like to feel rejected. Blossomfall felt upset because Millie payed so much attention to Briarlight, and hardly any to her. This is understandable, because it’s only human (and cat!) nature to want your parent to pay attention to you.

Ivypool knows what being ignored is like, too. She felt like everyone loved and payed attention to Dovewing, but nobody cared about her that way. This is why Ivypool started training in the Place Of No Stars- Hawkfrost and the other Dark Forest cats gave her the attention and praise she desired.

Blossomfall and Ivypool both have experienced jealousy of a sibling. They have both felt ignored, and upset. And they both did some things to deal with these feelings that weren’t exactly the best. They’re able to relate to each other. As mates, they could easily comfort each other, because they know better than anyone what the other cat went through.

Now, Blossomfall and Ivypool are actually enemies for the first few books of Omen of the Stars. Blossomfall bullies Ivypool, and the two are generally enemies.

But once they get lost in the tunnels together, you can see that something has changed: Blossomfall is nicer to Ivypool. Ivypool sympathizes with Blossomfall, realizing all she’s been through.

They started out enemies, but ended up casual friends. This is a common plot point in Warriors, and often results in the two cats becoming mates. So why not ship Ivypool and Blossomfall? They can relate to each other because they’ve been through similar experiences, and their relationship in general had good development!

Ivypool and Blossomfall have good chemistry, which is a crucial part of a good ship! Chemistry is all about the building blocks of a romance, and IvyBlossom is a ship with great chemistry! Yes, they started out enemies. But by the end of Omen of the Stars? By then, Ivypool and Blossomfall are totally shippable! I know I ship them! 😉

IvyBlossom has always been one of my favorite non-canon Warriors ships. The moment I discovered this ship, I absolutely adored it! It’s a beautiful ship, and I love it!

And maybe after reading this article, you love it too- or at least understand why I ship it. 😉

IvyBlossom forever!

See you next time!
