Rating characters of TBC by Spottedpaw

Spottedpaw shares their opinion on characters from The Broken Code.

So, in this article, I will be rating the main cast of the broken code from 1-10 based of how interesting they are and then explaining my decision. DISCLAIMER: This is their character in THIS ARC, TBC. Feel free to disagree.

Bristlefrost: 6 out of 10
I know, I know. Bristlefrost is a lot you alls favorite character. I just think she’s…. meh. She fine in the first couple books, with her getting manipulated by brashfulstar and all. But then when she tells rootspring she loves him OUT OF NOWHERE, her personality is just warped into constantly loving rootspring. She gets slightly more independent in ALITM, but when she dies, all she thinks about is ROOTSPRING. Not her awesome parents or supportive siblings, only the boyfriend she’s had for 1.5 months. The authors are way to obsessed with this ship.

Rootspring: 5 out of 10
He is a pretty boring cookie cutter character. His too stable personality traits are: I have a crush and I hate my dad. He is definitely less than bristlefrost on the good character-o-meter. But that one conversation he has with tree and ivypool about the warrior code in ALITM is interesting. Also him getting possessed is great.

Shadowsight: 7 out of ten
He is really interesting, has a nice relationship with his family, and him being manipulated by ashfur is just so good. He has his irritating moments, especially in ALITM where the authors had to figure out a way to get the main three together. But, all in all, I like him and he deserves a vacation.

Ashfur: 9 out of 10 (as a villain)
Ashfur has always been a good villain. I hate him so much. He is very interesting and (I know I am using this word a lot in this article,) manipulative. I am so glad that they did something with how stupid ghost yellowfang is! As a cat, I give him a 0-10, but as a villain, phenomenal. (Not as good as darktail, but still!)

Squirrelflight: 7.5 out of 10
I like squilf a good amount, but there is one thing in this entire arc that bothers me: The way they acknowledge squirrelflights hope. The authors still think bramblefight is a good ship and forcing the characters to act like that to. I still like her though.

Bramblestar: 4 out of 10
Eh.
In squirrelflights hope, he is 0 out of 10.

Spotfur: 9.5 out of 10.
She’s a great character. She still has a personality, and her relationship with Stemleaf is very good. That novella did not do her justice. Definitely the top three cats that should be leader after bramblestar. (I am crossing my fingers she does become a background character in the next arc.)

Stemleaf: 7 out of 10
He is rootspring but much better. Wish less of his character was bristlefrost’s crush. He and Spotfur are a power couple that I love.

Tigerstar 4: 6.5 out of 10
Protective dad, good husband.
He makes some points, but he is still annoying. I hate his hatred for the sisters.

I am getting tired, so hear are some quick ones: Leafstar: 8.5 out of 10. Harestar: 6 out of 10. Mistystar: 2 out of 10. Lionblaze: 5 out of 10. Willowshine: 8 out of 10. Darkstripe: 4 out of ten. Crowfeather: 5 out of 10. Snowtuft: 7.5 out of 10.

Well, those are all the main characters in the broken code rated. Hope you guys like this article.
