Hi, it’s Leaflight! This is my first article, where I’ll be talking about a strongly debated topic – who Crowfeather will choose in StarClan.
First, of all, after the events of Crowfeather’s Trial, we can all agree that he won’t end up with Nightcloud. They will gladly remain friends.
Next, Feathertail. A lot of the different reasons why Feathertail isn’t Crowfeather’s true love is because of the age gap between them. It’s confirmed that if Feathertail lived, their relationship wouldn’t have worked out, since Crowfeather – Crowpaw at the time, was still an apprentice. Another reason why this relationship wouldn’t work out is because Feathertail walks in two skies, StarClan and the Tribe of Endless Hunting. If Crowfeather did choose her in StarClan, he would have to spend half of his time waiting for her to visit the Clan’s resting place. Lastly, Feathertail gives her blessing to Crowfeather, telling him to love other cats and to not be blinded by the rest of the world.
” ‘I thought we left you with the Tribe of Endless Hunting, ‘ Leafpaw meowed. Feathertail shook her head. ‘I walk in two skies now, with the Tribe’s ancestors as well as my own. But wherever I am, I shall never forget the Clans.’ She hesitated for a moment, then added, ‘Especially Crowfeather.’
‘He misses you very much. He chose his warrior name for you.’
‘Yes, I was watching, ‘ Feathertail purred. ‘I was so proud. He will make a great warrior.’ She bent close to Leafpaw again, her warm breath stirring the apprentice’s fur. ‘Tell him not to grieve. I will always love him, but there will be many, many moons before we meet again. For now, he must live with his Clanmates in their new home. He cannot be blind to the cats who are around him for all that time.” Starlight, pg. 264.
There’s also another quote in Twilight, ” ‘I’m a medicine cat!’ Leafpool protested. Her fur tingled with delight that Feathertail wasn’t angry – more than that, she seemed to want Leafpool and Crowfeather to be together – but she knew it was more complicated than that. ‘I wish I could make him happy, but I can’t.’ ” Twilight, pg.91-92.
These two quotes prove that Feathertail does approve of Crowpool, and that she does walk in two skies.
Now that we’ve established that both Feathertail and NIghtcloud would be unlikely choices for Crowfeather, this is why I think he’ll pick Leafpool!
First, of all, Leafpool made Crowfeather love again after Feathertail’s death. She healed his heart and made him start to open up to the outside world again. There’s also many instances of where Crowfeather still loves Leafpool even after they both return to their respective Clans.
In Crowfeather’s Trial, it states,

Yay! I like that you didnt throw hate at any of them, usually people roast nightcloud. you made pretty good points, and it made for a great article! i think it got cut of tho…
The thing is, Nightcloud was possessive of him and hurt him physically once. To say that she was bad is a matter of facts rather than “roasting”, even if they reconciled in the end she was not a good option.
true, true, im even still salty about her. like, she couldent accept her mate having other kits and was jealous of leafpool. but she has kinda reedemed herself (at least with crowfeather) in the latest books. and yeah, she really wast a match for crowfeather, i rather feathertail or leafpool

Great article! I like how you included if the cat he chose would love him back as well ๐ However I politely disagree ^^ I personally think his love with Feathertail was the best. It was more of a happy, bubbly love, not as serious and not purple passages like Leaf x Crow. Plus, they reamined loyal to each other for a really long time- even in Crowfeather’s Trial, and Outcast. Moons after they parted, they still care for each other.
Leaf x Crow is a little more bumpy, with Leafpool pushing him away in Leafpool’s Wish, to Crowfeather attacking her and Leafpool screaming in his face when their sons fought, to Crowfeather claimning his love for her had faded, then not, then yes again…their loyalty and love to each other isn’t as pure as Feather x Crow, in my opinion ๐ I can provide you with quotes, if you’d like ^^
It honestly depends on what you define love and loyalty as. To you, the greater love is the happy and innocent one, and this is valid. In my opinion however, it is slightly different. Leafpool and Crowfeather undergo a lot of misery and conflict, treating each other coldly after they part despite remaining feelings, becoming part of a scandal and quarreling for moons. They make mistakes; they’re immature, angry, bitter, and realise how wrong they were as time goes on. After such things, most couples would forgive and cut off ties, but Leafpool and Crowfeather still confide in each other and show affection in terms of body language (“tingles in pads”). It requires great feelings to do so after such events. Just because a pair is happy and sweet, does not mean it’s a love for life. It is also easier to stay devoted to a person that died for you than to a person you have ruined your relationship with thanks to mutual heartbreak and anger. Still, the two own up their mistakes and are friendly and affectionate. This is why I think they pass the test.
They way Crowfeather and Leafpool acted was just like the way my parents acted right before they got divorced

Nice article! But your wrong on almost all things you’ve stated.
In a Shadow in Riverclan Feathertail just recently receives her warrior name in leaf-fall or Greenleaf. The middle of the book it’s leaf bare. At the end of the book its New-leaf meaning the time from when she received her warrior name to the time when she meets the 3 other Prophecy cats are within 9-12 moons. The New Prophecy took place 9 moons after Feathertail received her warrior name. Also Take a look at this evidence that proves Crowpaw and Feathertails age gap are not far at all. [ Crowpaw retorted “Well, I won’t go. I’ll be made a warrior soon. I’ve worked hard for it, and I’m not leaving the Clan so close to the end of my training.”

Now go ahead and compare this to IvyxFern , Ivypool is 5-7 years older then Fernsong. Feathertail is 9-12 moons older the Crowpaw.
I’ve seen others try to convince others using the too old method but it will certainly never work on me
i totally agree! theres canonical evidence supporting this which im happy about and PEOPLe ignore. also leaf + crows relationship just feels more real, while feather + crow seems more like a young crush relationship. its nice that they were there for each other, of course, but im prettyyyy sure crowpaw only liked her because she was nice to him, whereas crowf loved leafpool even when she wasn’t…. as nice to him (though they do make up). which is great! to me it seems like crowfeather really loves leafpool
