Do They Truly Belong Together? by Rosebloom

Rosebloom wonders if these relationships should be together.

I will be reviewing three ships, and these are my own opinions, you do not have to agree!

The first ship I’ll be looking at is Blue x Oak. Bluestar and Oakheart, {Bluefur at the time}, is a cross-clan ship. Bluestar of ThunderClan and Oakheart of RiverClan. I just didn’t like the ship, only because Bluestar thought she just ‘had to’ become deputy. I didn’t support that, because she ‘needed’ to be deputy because Thistleclaw would’ve led the clan to bloodshed. Thistleclaw might’ve just been fine! He isn’t a completely evil cat. But Goosefeather convinced Bluefur, so according to the warrior code female clan leaders cannot have kits because it would distract them from their duties for six moons or more. I only disapprove of Blue and Oak because a strong clan leader should follow the warrior code! But Bluefur went against it anyways and had three kits with Oakheart.

Next will be Leaf x Crow. I honestly liked them together but wanted them to break up. Leafpool was the ThunderClan medicine cat, and medicine cats can’t have kits! Then Crowfeather, on the other paw, is nonetheless than WindClan. It breaks multiple rules of the warrior code. Cross-clan ships, medicine cats having a mate, medicine cats having kits. They were a nice couple and I loved them together. But for me, being a loyal clan cat didn’t want to let them break the warrior code. Leafpool was my favorite character at that time, so when they broke up I was 75% devastated, 25% happy. But when I found out Crowfeather was mating with Nightcloud… Oh boy. I was home alone, so I screamed– Then Breezepelt was their offspring, so I naturally didn’t like him. But then eventually Lionblaze and Heathertail liked each other when they were apprentices, so I supported them. Until they broke up and Heathertail got with Breezepelt. {cough cough-hater-cough cough} Then I had a growing hatred for him.

My last ship will be… {*drumroll*} Apple x Maple! Appledusk of RiverClan and Mapleshade of ThunderClan. I actually kind of liked this ship. Mapleshade was a loyal warrior. {obviously, other than having a cross-clan mate} I liked Mapleshadow normally, with no obsession, and no hatred. But I read Crookedstar’s promise after I read the whole series, so I knew of the Dark Forest. So when I read Crookedstar’s Promise, she kinda sucked- But when I read Mapleshade’s Vengeance, she grew on me. I understood why she did what she did. Why she’s in the Dark Forest… She mated to Appledusk and had kits. When the current leader, Oakstar saw the kits, he asked who the mate was. Mapleshade lied… and claimed to have been having kits with Oakstar’s brother, Birchface. I was a little thrown off but still liked her. But when Appledusk was secretly dating a RiverClan cat, Reedshine, getting her pregnant as well. Then Mapleshade was outraged and went mentally insane… And killed them. And that’s how she got into the Dark Forest.
