Comparing Firestar’s Kin to Encanto Characters by Brambleheart

Brambleheart compares members of Firestar’s family tree to characters from Disney’s Encanto.

Hey everyone! So I really like the new Encanto movie and while watching it for the second time I decided to match up the Madrigals to Firestar’s Kin! This article contains spoilers for Encanto!

NOTE: This will be as of the Apprentice’s Quest since after that things will get out of hand. Also no LionXCinder kits in this, sorry!

Firestar is Abuelo — Firestar and Abuelo both sacrificed their lives for the good of their people. Abuelo died when his village was attacked, and his death meant victory. Firestar died defeating Tigerstar and the dark Forest. Both characters were also the source of miracles and gifts in their families.

Sandstorm is Abuela — Sandstorm and Abuela were both heartbroken when their partners died in the battle, but that didn’t mean that the principles died too. Sandstorm and Abuela help keep Firestar’s legacy alive in their kin and are the wise matriarchs of the family line.

Squirrelflight is Peppa — Squirrelflight and Pepa are both headstrong people with a rainbow of emotions. They can be sassy, anxious, angry and it shows outwaerdly a lot, whether (or should I say WEATHER) it is weather patterns for Peppa or Squirrelflight’s impulsive yet sincere actions.

Leafpool is Julieta — Both characters are the healers of the family. They are softspoken and supportive of their family and despite their pacifist nature aren’t afraid to stand up for their loved ones. Leafpool and Julieta also know just what someone needs to feel better, whether it’s food, herbs or just comfort.

Jayfeather is Bruno — Both Bruno and Jayfeather are misunderstood and demonized by those who don’t get them. But once you get close with either character, you’ll see that they are very nice but troubled characters.

Cloudtail is Camillo — Ah, the silly members of the family. Cloudtail and Camillo both have a great sense of humour and mischief that both acts as a way to alleviate tension and get them in trouble at times. They aren’t afraid to bend any rule they think is dumb and cheer someone up when they are sad with humour.

Dovewing is Delores — This match is based on the gifts. Both Dovewing and Delores can hear for miles away, and as a result know all the goings-ons of the land. Not only are they great sources of gossip, they are also good at telling when something is wrong before it happens by hearing otherwise silent warnings. They also get overstimulated easily and need a lot of quiet time when their powers are not being used.

Alderheart is Antonio — Antonio and Alderheart are both flaming balls of anxiety.

Sparkpelt is Isabella — Both characters are forced to be perfect all the time. Sparkpelt with hunting and fighting and Isabella with her looks and plant summoning. They don’t like it but have to do it anyways, and can sometimes act like jerks.

Lionblaze is Luisa — Both characters are forced to be defined by their strength. As a result, they cannot live their lives. Lionblaze can’t get a mate, and Luisa is forced to lift everything and do chores. They feel their pressure and sometimes just want to be normal cats.

Ivypool is Mirabel — Both of these characters got the short end of the stick in their families, but that doesn’t stop them! Ivypool spies on the Dark Forest to give hope to her Clan, and Mirabel helps bring hope to the family and teach them they aren’t defined by their gifts. They are both able to save their family, miracles, and people.
