Here’s a small gift I made for you – a poem ! I hope you like it:
Bright colours adorn the grass,
Ripples of golden catching the light even
In the midst of the obscuring jade green and
Scattering. A gust of wind catches
The air, sending flurries of petals
Lingering, hesitant in the breeze
Echoes of flowers that blossomed
For a while, until nature played it’s role.
Lightly, a magpie flutters to the ground,
Iridescent sunbeams catching it’s wings, now
Glowing white as a snowdrop on a winter’s day.
Here, it glances around, curious and looking
Toward the trees but sees only signs of peace.
