*Dustwind shares her opinions on the protagonists of DotC.*
Hi! My name is Dustwind, and this is my first article. For my first article, I’ll be telling you my opinions on the protagonists of my favorite arc, Dawn of the Clans, or Thunder (Thunderstar, Gray Wing, and Clear Sky (Skystar). I don’t have many opinions for Thunder and a few for Gray Wing, but most of my opinions are for Clear Sky. So, here is my opinions for the protas.
Clear Sky (Skystar):
I’ve seen a lot of opinions in the Warrior Cats fandom about Clear Sky, and most of them are showing how bad Clear Sky is. Sure, he made a lot of mistakes in the past, but he isn’t all that bad.
So let’s start from the beginning, the first book, The Sun Trail.
Clear Sky had a mate, Bright Stream who he was very loyal to.
I haven’t read the book in about 1-2 months, but I believe that Bright Stream was reluctant to go, but she ended up going.
She ended up dying, but Clear Sky kept strong.
And when they got there was when the trouble started.
Clear Sky wanted to go to the forest and a few other cats, so they ended up going.
He started creating borders, recruiting rogues, and attacked any cat who crossed them. I looked up the book blurb and Clear Sky did attack Gray Wing at one point, telling him to never come back.
The last thing I have to say about the first book is Clear Sky not saying anything about Storm leaving and she ends up dying (not his fault Storm died, but it could have been prevented), and he throws out his own son.
I barely remember anything about Thunder Rising, only fire and asthma.
The First Battle, my favorite book. I have a ton to say about this one.
That’s when the borders start getting intense, and I forgot to say one thing about the first books. Clear Sky throws his own kin out.
Now, onto The First Battle, Thunder bet’s thrown out.
And Frost gets thrown out too, but he is taken in by Tall Shadow’s group as well as Thunder.
I believe in this book Gray Wing accidently kills Fox, or Thunder Rising. I have no idea. Clear Sky allows Gray Wing to *almost* die. Makes sense after how he treated him earlier.
Turtle Tail’s kits get kitnapped and Clear Sky sees them. The thing is, Clear Sky didn’t know those were her kits.
Now, the battle.
If Gray Wing didn’t take Tall Shadow and Thunder, he and Jackdaw’s Cry would probably die early.
Well, not Jackdaw’s Cry dying early. Even if he did survive, the cats of Clear Sky’s group would probably kill him anyways.
Anyways, the battle was nearly avoided until we found out bats shouldn’t exist.
Although, I don’t blame Jackdaw’s Cry. Yes, it does take a moon or two to starve, but he must’ve been pretty hungry.
Like, cmon Clear Sky, why so harsh on your son?
Many cats did die in that battle, and Clear Sky nearly kills Gray Wing, yet again.
Until he realizes he was going to kill his brother.
You really forgot Gray Wing was your brother? Was that the case with Jagged Peak?
The spirit cats come, Clear Sky kind of changes.
Star Flower becomes Clear Sky’s third mate and that changes Clear Sky.
Thunder helped him.
I think that Star Flower’s kits helped Clear Sky realize how bad he had treated Thunder, and yet Thunder still waits for his approval.
Everything is right.
Spoiler: In Moth Flight’s Vision, borders start again and he doesn’t even care that Slate and Rocky almost die. Thank StarClan they didn’t.
Now, Gray Wing. I miss him. He was wise and just wanted peace, even if he was a mouse-brain sometimes. He was also a little annoying, but after all his brother did to him, he saved him in The Blazing Star. He was a good guy.
Thunder is too, even though Thunder is also a mouse-brain sometimes. Everybody is.
Even though most of this article is about Clear Sky, I’ll make a new article soon on Gray Wing and Thunderstar. Hope you all have a great day.
(Extra: Gosh this is longer than I thought, wow.)
