How did Ashfur’s childhood shape him? by Rainpelt

HOW DID ASHFUR’S CHILDHOOD SHAPE HIM?
Hi, I’m Rainpelt, and today I will be looking at how Ashfur’s childhood shaped him!
So Ashfur was born to Whitestorm and Brindleface alongside Fernkit, Tulipkit, and Elderkit. Tulipkit and Elderkit passed away most likely of Greencough leaving Ashkit and Fernkit the only survivors of the litter. I imagine Ashkit missed his deceased siblings and wondered what life would have been like if they survived.
In the Rising Storm Ashpaw was apprenticed to Dustpelt. Now Dustpelt has always been a bit cynical of Firestar, so I see this rubbing off Ashpaw in some way.
So now I have provided a decent bit of Ashfur’s backstory I will move on to his parents!

Brindleface: Brindleface had a massive effect on Ashfur’s life. After the death of two of her kits, she was fiercely protective of them leading to a bond between her and her remaining kits. Now the important part comes up in A Dangerous Storm. Brindleface was murdered by Tigerstar after he sent Dogs to kill her so they could get a taste for cat blood and flesh. Now this led to Ashfur going far as to dislike Brambleclaw because of what his father did quoting:
‘’I can remember Tigerstar. His paws were red with the blood of innocent cats. You know that he murdered my mother to lure a pack of dogs to our camp’’
Now, this evidently shows that Ashfur has NOT gotten over Brindleface’s death and inadvertently blames Brambleclaw simply because he’s the son of the cat that killed Ashfur’s mother.

Whitestorm: Not much is known about Ashfur and Whitestorm’s relationship, but I visualize Whitestorm giving him battle training tips and being proud when he earns his Apprentice name. Ashfur was most likely devastated when Whitestorm perished against Bone and avenged him by taking down Bone with the rest of the Apprentices.
Ferncloud: Due to the loss of their littermates Ferncloud and Ashfur bonded being the only remaining siblings they had left. Ashfur was probably delighted when Ferncloud had her kits and was presumably proud when the responsibility of mentoring his nephew Birchpaw/fall fell on him.
