Hello, this is MoonTabby back with yet another article! I’m very excited for this topic, so let’s dig in, shall we? One of the most popular topics in the Warriors community is: Ivypool vs. Dovewing. Some people either love or hate one or the other – but for me? I love both of them! However, I do still have a particular favorite. So while both sisters are great characters in my opinion, today I’ll be explaining why Ivypool holds the title as my personal favorite!

I think I like Ivypool mostly because she’s the exact opposite of me – she’s cool and tough, and just as a character she’s very interesting to read about. I know a lot of people are attracted to characters who are similar to themselves, but I’ve found myself liking those who are different from me and hold cool qualities that I dream I had. While Ivypool does have some not-so-great traits, I admire her ability to hold her ground, her fierceness, and her skill in battle. She’s also really pretty in my opinion, even with all her scars… I don’t know, but I just really love her color scheme: silver-and-white tabby with dark blue eyes. It’s a unique pattern not many cats have, since most are ordinary browns or blacks or grays.

Ivypool’s character, just in itself, is so much more relatable and realistic than almost any other cat in Warriors! Different people relate to different things, but I think we’ve all known what it’s like to feel jealous of someone we think is smarter, prettier, etc. Ivypool isn’t a bland character with no development – as we see, she starts out with natural feelings of insecurity, jealousy, and doubts. These things cause her to feel like the only place she’ll ever belong is in the Dark Forest. But throughout OotS, she progresses as a character to realize her mistake. Even after she helps the Clans defeat the Dark Forest, she still must try to regain her Clanmates’ trust after she broke it. I’m kind of conflicted with how she turned out, because on the one hand, she’s a nice role model because she finally realized how lost she was and turned back. That shows that no matter how far you’ve gone off track, there’s usually still a chance to fix it. However, I also think she would’ve turned out to be a really cool villain! Spiced up the plot some more! To show the exact opposite of what I said, that sometimes things actually don’t work out into a happily-ever-after, best-sisters-forever kind of thing. Either way it could’ve gone, I still love her character development!

Dovewing is nice, but… I just love Ivypool more! She’s so cool and unlike any other protagonist we’ve had! She sticks out with her own plot, her own life, her own personality. She’s a timeless character.

Well, that’s all for today! Let me know what you think of Ivypool in the comments! And which sister do YOU like more?
