Warriors Ships that Deserve More Love than Hate by Sandbreeze

Hello! It’s Sandbreeze here and I’ll be talking about Warriors ships that deserve more love then hate. So, let’s begin!
**WARNING! SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN”T READ THE LAST BOOK OF THE BROKEN CODE**Oh yes, WC ships are a topic that fans love to argue about. I mean, they argue every single day! Do they run out of reasons? No! They want to make sure their opinion is the best so much that they come up with the most ridiculous reasons! I’ll be trying not to give any of those, and not get into a heated arguement about it. We all have our own opinions-and that’s okay. You can put your opinion in the comments, I might reply with something, but I don’t want this to turn into a long, waste-of-time argument. Let’s begin!
DEFENDING THE MOST HATED SHIPS: #1-Squirrel x Bramble
I don’t think I’ve ever met a cat on BlogClan that hates this ship, so I haven’t said my opinion on it much until now. Squirrel x Bramble was the cutest ship when I read the new prophecy, and the way they hated each other at first was great. I mean, who dosen’t like those kinds of ships, like Sand x Fire?
HISTORY
So, basically, Squrrielflight warmed up to Brambleclaw on the journey, and they fell in love. So cute! They went to the new territories, but Squrirrelflight was mad when Brambleclaw became really good friends with his half-brother, Hawkfrost. Squilf went with Ashfur(oh great) because of Brambleclaw, but from their POV’s we can tell how much it hurt for both of them. In fact, in the book it says that it felt like a empty pit in her heart(I remember something about her feeling empty, just forgot how she said it). Poor Squrrielflight and Brambleclaw! Okay, so then Leafpool has a vision that they were meant to be together, and they get back together again, even though Leafpool knew Brambleclaw was training with his father in the DF. Brambleclaw stops training there later though, after he kills his brother in order to save his leader. Squilf must be ver happy about this! Then, Squilf is kinda forced to take care of Leafpool’s kits and claim them as their own, but later on we find out that they aren’t her kits. This separates Squilf and Bramble for a bit, but they get back together when Brambleclaw shouldn’t judge her for that because she was just helping her sister. Then, in the next arc, they are seen to have kits!!! They have a good, healthy relationship during this arc, then, (sighs) the Erins publish Squrirelflight’s Hope. They are seen to argue a lot during this, and I don’t really like the book very much because it ruined books and books of development between the two. This is why I don’t want to base the ship off SH. There is one good part though. They are seen to have a deep conversation that they’re glad they aren’t arguing anymore, and Squirrel really wants kits while Bramble is meh. It looks like they both agreed they didn’t want anymore kits, but it would be really cool if she did have more:)

Bramble x Squrriel is healthy!
I’m probably going to have to dodge tomatoes for this, but I seriously want you to listen. Bramblestar and Squrrielflight have had their ups and downs, and their relationship is not perfect, but that’s the good thing about it. “What?!” You say. Well, let me explain. Bramblestar and Squirrelflight have argued, but once the problem is resolved they have formed a deeper connection. I don’t know if Mary Sue and Gary Stu ships are a thing, but some ships can be so perfect, where they don’t argue at all, that they don’t know how the other cat feels about something, and they will be forced to keep it inside them because they don’t want to argue. Squirrel x Bramble have resolved all of their arguments, and they have a deeper connection knowing that they resolved it and understand each other more. I hope that you understand the theory I was trying to explain.
Bramblestar and Squrrielflight quotes:
“Bramblestar turned to Squirrelflight first. “Will you fight beside me?” Their eyes met for a long moment. “Always,” she meowed.”
“I’m glad we’re not arguing anymore,” Squrrielflight breathed.
“So am I.” Bramblestar touched his muzzle to her ear. “I don’t know what I would have done if you’d died. I wouldn’t have been able to go on without you.”
——-Sandbreeze’s opinion on this quote: This quote was from Squirreflight’s Hope. They are glad they aren’t arguing anymore, and I can tell that they have a deeper connection then before.
One more reason: They have had TWO books of development(and a lot of arcs) that partly focused on their ship. This was Squirrelflight’s Hope and Bramblestar’s Storm, where they both realized that they were meant to be together. Not with Jessy, not with Ashfur. The Erins created these super editions, but all it got was hate for the ship for some reason! Pay attention to the development!!
OPINION ON SQUIRREL X ASHFUR:
This is horrible! I don’t get why anyone would ship this! Have they read the Broken Code?! Have they seen how EVIL he is! He literally almost destroyed ThunderClan, all because Squirrelflight was meant to be with someone else. He took over another cat’s body, claimed it as his own, and almost killed poor Bramblestar!! And…he…is the reason…Bristlefrost…is…dead.
Okay, okay, enough about my long ramble about one of my fave ships. Let’s get onto…
DEFENDING MOST HATED SHIPS: #2-Dovewing and Tigerstar
Again, I am trying to be polite sharing my opinion here. Dovewing and Tigerstar were cute together, and I cheered them on in their secret meetings. But when I found out they had haters, I was ready to defend them.
HISTORY:
Dovewing(Dovepaw at the time) was selected to go find what was causing the lake to dry up. Other warriors from other Clans went to investigate, including Tigerheart. Dovepaw and Tigerheart warmed up to each other on the journey, and, when they went back, they started secretly meeting each other. They played together in a abandoned Twoleg house. A while later, Bumblestripe started showing feelings for Dovewing, and when Dovewing started ignoring Tigerheart she hung around Bumblestripe more, although it did not feel the same when she was around Bumble. Later, she breaks up with Bumblestripe when Tigerheart comes with his parents for refuge from Darktail’s Kin. They grow very close, and she becomes pregnant with his kits. Read down for more information about what happens after that…

Tigerheart sacrificed a lot to be with his mate!
So, in Tigerheart’s Shadow**SPOILERS AHEAD** Tigerheart finds out Dovewing is expecting his kits, and so Dovewing says she has to go to this building with spires on the top. Tigerheart is torn between his Clan(since it’s kinda in pieces right now) and Dovewing, but he dosen’t go with her. Later, he regrets his decision and follows Dovewing’s tracks into the unknown. On the journey back, when they’re almost home, Tigerheart sacrifices his life for a kit. The group going back helps carry him to the Moonpool, which was Puddleshine’s idea. He comes back from the dead to find his father dead-who wasn’t a very good leader in the first place-and restores ShadowClan with Dovewing beside him.
It’s way better than Bumble x Dove!
Dovewing tried her hardest to try to ignore Tigerheart, but she couldn’t ignore her feelings for Tigerheart. In fact, she said that her heart seemed to pump out of her chest way more with Tigerheart than when she was with Bumblestripe. Besides, Bumblestripe literally asked for KITS at Purdy’s funeral. Like, who does that? He was showing disrespect for Purdy, and Dovewing really liked the talkative elder. Bumblestripe pushed Dovewing into a relationship and was not patient about it. Thumbs down, Bumblestripe! Now, I’m not saying Bumblestripe is a bad cat, he just doesn’t belong with Dovewing.
Now, for the people who ship Dovewing with no one:
Imagine Dovewing with no kits and no mate, watching Ivypool get a mate and have kits, watching the kits in the nursery…I’ve always thought of Dovewing as a nursery helper, because she just doesn’t seem that much of a warrior type, but it would be great for her to switch every now and then. She is a queen as of A Starless Clan, and she gave birth to Shadowsight, Lightleap, Pouncestep, Rowankit, and Birchkit. She is happy with her family in ShadowClan, and loves Tigerheart a lot. They also have had their disagreements, but, like I said, it forms a deeper connection(as is my theory).
Dovewing and Tigerheart belong together until the end of time. Dovewing’s parents approve because it said “Birchfall puffed up his chest” when Tigerstar said Dovewing gave birth to Rowankit and Birchkit, each one named after their parents’ fathers.
